14 - Birth

Jiang Cheng was bored of waiting but XiChen continued cuddling and kissing him. "WanYin, just let them be, we can do our stuff too"

"What stuff" Jiang Cheng hissed and XiChen kissed him more. "Just cuddling and kissing and leaving more for later"

"Then all the more they should quickly get their asses out! We came to surprise them and they're busy entertaining themselves!" Jiang Cheng huffed.

XiChen chuckled "I see. You're impatient for later" Jiang Cheng blushed "You're the impatient one!"

Just then, a pregnant man from behind started his teasing "Oh ho! Look who's outside our house being so lovey dovey!"

Jiang Cheng turned around and shouted "Wei WuXian! You're so shameless! You're almost 8 months pregnant!!! And we waited for you for so long!"

Wei Ying was about to retort when he saw the things laid out in front of him "Ahhhhh! I miss this so much! Jiang Cheng! I knew you're the best!"

Lan Zhan frowned at that. Just hours ago when he was pampering Wei Ying, Wei Ying said that to him. Wei Ying the oblivious marched forward to the kites.

"Lan Zhan! Why are you standing there? Come, I want to release the kite then shoot it down" Wei Ying ordered.

Lan Zhan immediately went forward and picked up the kites and bow. Wei Ying leaned in and give a kiss on Lan Zhan's cheek "Thank you, you're the best"

Lan Zhan smiled a little and felt prouder. He's the best after all. Meanwhile, oblivious Wei Ying was already excited to start.

They played and even though Wei Ying was pregnant, he managed to shoot far and accurately. Wei Ying then grinned "Jiang Cheng! A pregnant man can shoot better than you!"

Jiang Cheng glared at him and huffed "I shouldn't have bothered to come here to entertain you!" XiChen chuckled and pulled him in "WanYin, you shoot the best"

Jiang Cheng blushed and Wei Ying pouted "Lan Er Ge Ge! Praise me too!" Lan Zhan smiled and kissed Wei Ying while patting his head "You're the best"

Wei Ying grinned, then turned to Jiang Cheng and stuck his tongue out, who rolled his eyes back at Wei Ying.

Time flew and Wei Ying was 1 and a half weeks due when he felt weaker than before. Lan Zhan became very worried but Wen Qing who came to visit said it's not necessarily a bad thing.

Maybe Wei Ying was conserving inner energy for when he gives birth. During this time, Lan Zhan spent more time with Wei Ying on their hut on the top of the hill in the back mountains.

Lan Zhan stopped caring about Gusu's affairs and only about his husband and shockingly, Lan QiRen didn't come scolding him.

Instead, Lan QiRen scolded Lan XiChen as he was often found in Yunmeng. Previously, Lan Zhan would help settle the sect matters but now, XiChen has to do it all.

Wei Ying also had a good time laughing when he heard about Jin ZiXuan's reaction towards Jin Ling and SiZhui. He was so upset about not having a future heir from Jin Ling.

Yanli calmed Jin ZiXuan down and Jin ZiXuan gave in thanks to Yanli, as Yanli has her methods in making him give in. However, he used that excuse to persuade Yanli to give birth to more children.

SiZhui also became even happier and they often meet up for night hunts. He often tells Wei Ying what happens or asks for advice.

Previously, Lan Zhan would jump on Wei Ying everyday but now Wei Ying is the one begging Lan Zhan to touch him more and Lan Zhan would really gently go for one or two rounds.

Today, Lan Zhan stopped after two rounds and Wei Ying was sulking. Lan Zhan smiled at Wei Ying and backhugged him "Wei Ying, we can do more after you recover"

Wei Ying pouted "Then you should at least do it harder! I'm not that weak!" Lan Zhan stroked his head and kissed him "Mn, I know. You're my strong Wei Ying"

Wei Ying then smiled shyly, making Lan Zhan smile. Wei Ying hugged Lan Zhan back and they snuggled against each other. They got about 3 hours of sleep when Wei Ying woke up screaming.

Lan Zhan immediately jumped up and shouted for the doctor, then ran back to Wei Ying's side. Jiang Cheng who was staying with XiChen woke up too.

"He is giving birth!" The doctor panickedly ran to prepare the things while Wei Ying clutched onto Lan Zhan's hand.

"Does it hurt a lot?" Lan Zhan asked concerned as he held Wei Ying's hand and gave him forehead kisses.

Wei Ying weakly smiled and said in between his gritted teeth "Lan Zhan, you have... no idea how... how long I've been... waiting... for this"

Lan Zhan smiled and kissed Wei Ying "It'll be over soon. I'm here" Wei Ying smiled back but gripped Lan Zhan's hand tighter in pain.

After an hour or so, Wei Ying started pushing and finally, a baby boy came out. XiChen immediately carried it from the doctor and went to Wei Ying's other side.

"WangJi, Brother-in-law, it's a baby boy" XiChen said excitedly and Lan Zhan kissed Wei Ying. Wei Ying smiled and said "Lan Han..." before pushing again.

Wei Ying was getter weaker and it was harder to push. After what seem like an eternity though only about 10 minutes passed, a baby girl came out.

Jiang Cheng carried it and knelt beside XiChen "Wei WuXian, a baby girl" Lan Zhan kissed Wei Ying again as Wei Ying mumbled "Lan Yin"

Lan Zhan felt relieved. All three of them are safe. His two kids are out and the love of his life is safe in his arms.

Lan Zhan cuddled Wei Ying who weakly smiled at him and said "Lan Zhan, I love you" Lan Zhan smiled happily and kissed Wei Ying "Wei Ying, I love you too"

Then, all of a sudden, Wei Ying screamed and disappeared.

"WEI YING!" Lan Zhan shouted as he looked at his empty hands. He felt a pang in his heart as his eyes started looking more dull, more lost.
