"Sir! Seating arrangement! Please." The whole class of Fourth Year Wellness begged to their adviser Teacher Jo.
"No. There is not enough time to do that. We're overtime and it's embarrassing to the next teacher." Teacher Jo replied to the students.
"But sir, please? We can extend our time since the next subject is our last." Flora begged.
Flora is Teacher Jo's favorite student so that convinced him to arrange their seats. The whole class is so happy because finally, they will be sitting with their other classmates and make friends.
"Okay, I'm gonna prepare tiny sheets of paper with numbers written on it. You'll have to pick one and that's your seat for the rest of the grading period." Teacher Jo said.
The class agreed. They all agreed as it seems fair for everyone. Everyone are happy except the two.
"Hey, why do we need to exchange seats? Aren't we already friends with everybody?" Karla said sarcastically.
"Yeah right. You know, I'm very comfortable here." Maxi said with a fake smile on her face.
The only person Maxi wants to sit with is Karla, her best friend since grade school. These two are the two drama queens in the class. Most of the students are actually annoyed of them because they over react to even the simplest of things. Like seating arrangements.
"Well, suck it up and move on." said Trey, their first honor since kindergarten.
The rolled their eyes at him.
"You're willing to do this because a nerd like you might end up sitting next to your crush." Karla told Trey while looking at herself on a compact mirror.
"Well atleast I got to sit beside her before the school ends. Unlike you two. Nobody wants to sit with you." Trey winked.
"Ugh! Disgusting." Maxi said while putting on lip gloss.
Meanwhile, Yanna is at the corner of the room. She keeps on thinking about the huge friendship issue that is now breaking her friendship with Chey.
She made a list of all the points why she will never liked that guy.
"First point, we don't have anything in common and we fight a lot. Second, he's the meanest person I've ever met. Third, he's good at pushing everybody's buttons including hurting Chey."
So why will Chey assume that she likes him?
"This is ridiculous! The whole thing and... I don't know, I just can't seem to think straight with all these drama. It's getting to my nerves."Yanna utters to herself.
Rams heard her and expresses her concern. "Yanna, are you alright? What's bothering you? Is Nathan making fun of you again?"
"Umm, no. I'm just sad that after all these years, Chey kept a secret from me and now she thinks that Nathan and I are..."
"Well, based on how Nathan treats you, there's a possibility. You're the only person he bullies so much."
"Exactly! He hates me so it's impossible." Yana said frustrated.
"We're not blind you know." Rams said smiling.
Yanna is confused. Their classmates clearly know something she doesn't.
Teacher Jo interrupted her thoughts. "Okay guys. Pick your number. There are 3 bonus seats. Whoever got that could choose where they want to seat. Good luck!" He instructed.
They all come to pick their numbers as they are being called alphabetically. Yanna is the fourth one to pick. And to her luck, she picked the bonus seat. She chose the one in front, next to Lena, their class president.
When everyone are all settled down, teacher Jo left the room and they waited for teacher Omer to arrive.
"Hello Yans! It's been a while huh? How are you?" Lena greeted her new seat mate.
"Hi Prez! Things aren't going the way I planned but let's just move on." Yanna said smiling.
