The class of Fourth Year Wellness are respectable CAT officers. It's the first Saturday of the month so they gathered all of their cadets for a formation. The S2 Officer is the one responsible for the time and attendance so she had to stay alert for any late comers. The halls seem packed although it's still very early.
The Corps Commander ordered the Platoon Leaders to make a formation too. Any one who is late will receive a punishment so everybody must always be punctual including the officers.
As the cadets are in their positions, Yanna and Janice walked around to see if they can help. They are already officers so they don't have to take the formation.
Seeing as every officers could handle their own assignments, Yanna and Janice went to Nathan's Platoon.
Nathan is still sleepy so he thought it's best if he should sit for a while to regain his composure.
Warren arrived a little while later and sat next to Nathan. Then Yanna approached the two of them.
"What are you two doing? This is straight up lazy." Yanna said annoyed.
"Why? Is it bad to sit? Huh? What if I'm lazy today and I don't feel like I want to do anything?" Warren answered annoyed.
"Is this the example you will show to your cadets? You don't deserve your ranks then!" Janice exclaimed annoyed too.
"Why are you even here? Go somewhere where you'll be useful." Warren said grumpily.
"What a snob. You're cute but it's a waste since you're grumpy all the time." Yanna said matter-of-fact.
"You too. You're pretty but..." Warren said and looked at Nathan grinning.
"But what?" Yanna asked.
"You're dark. Can we see you at night?" Nathan said with a smirk on his face.
"Compared to you... Am I at a disadvantage here?" Yanna blurted.
Then someone shouted "Mga banat ni teh Yans! "
"Great comeback Yans!"And they all laughed.
"Janice! Let's go find another place to hang out. It's boring here." Yanna said.
"Come. Let's go eat." Janice suggested. "I'm hungry."
So they went outside to look for something to eat leaving Nathan and Warren. After the two girls left, Warren felt the urge to ask Nathan about Yanna but ignored that thought. Instead, he asked about the GIRL.
"Dre' How's life? What have you been up to lately? Did she said yes already?" Warren joked as if Nathan already proposed.
"Nothing much. Just showing subtle signs that I'm ready to confess."
"You've been in love with HER since first year... What's taking you so long?" Warren asked stunned.
"Nah. The slower the better." Nathan said softly.
Warren listened to him without saying a word. He knows he'll just make things worse if Nathan rushed with his decisions.
"SHE's a really nice girl. No surprise why you're not the only one courting HER." Warren said quietly.
He's resisting the urge to ask if Nathan maybe feeling something for Yanna. Maybe. Maybe not.
"Hey! Whatever happens, don't tell anyone else or I swear, Dre'! " Nathan said jokingly.
"Of course. I will never betray you." Warren swore. "Do you think SHE already knows?"
"Maybe. Harry's close to HER so maybe, he might've blurted it out, who knows."
"Love is complicated man! Let's get back to work. I bet you are awake now." Warren said with a grin.
"Yeah. And I'm a little hungry too. Hey! Let's go and asked Will if he could treat us."
"Let's go. My stomach's making strange noises too."
The two hadn't noticed as they left that SHE's sitting on a bench next to them. Listening.
