Lost in Temptation

Chapter 18

Narrator POV:

The night was young, the stars overseeing the love that was shared between Betty and Jughead as they walked through Sweet Water River hand in hand. 

"Are you planning on murdering me?" Betty asks with narrow eyes and a small smile placed on her lips. 

"Maybe" Jughead answered with a smirk, holding onto his girlfriends hand, guiding her through the river until they reach a secluded area where he had spent the afternoon setting up. Betty stood in shock as she analyzed the setting she was walking into. It was beautiful and perfect. He had a small table with two chairs perfectly placed between the flowers with a small candle lit on top of it. He once again guided her towards the table as he pulled the chair back and whispering into her ear to sit down then placed a kiss on her cheek. 

"Jughead-" Betty starts as she continues to look around, beginning to feel tears spring up in her eyes only this time her tears were out of pure happiness. Jughead sat across her and formed a smile on his lips, feeling overjoyed at the fact that Betty seems to be loving his surprise. He loved that Betty didn't expect an expensive dinner or expensive gifts, he loved how she appreciated the smallest details. Jughead wanted to do something unique and beautiful for her to prove to her just how much she means to him and taking her to dinner at a fancy restaurant would seem pretty basic and predictable. 

The area he choose was surrounded by beautiful flowers blossoming and had the best view of the river. "Do you like it?" He asks her 

"Like it? Juggie, I love it" She squeals out, then out of no where an older man walks up to them and places a plate of her favorite food, Fettucine Alfredo mixed with shrimp and scallops in front of both of them. "How?" She asks as she looks up at him from her plate. 

"I know everything about you baby" He tells her, Betty quickly stands up and pulls him up from his shirt and kisses him from across the table "Thank you" She says to him as they pull away, sitting down and beginning to eat. Betty sat there as she engaged in conversation, feeling like the luckiest woman alive for being here today alongside the best boyfriend she could ever ask for. They laughed and talked for what seemed like hours but that's just how it was between them. Things weren't always easy but they made it work and they thanked whatever it was that finally brought them together. 

It was sudden when Betty was flooded with memories of her father and sister, instantly making her a bit upset but she tried her best not to let that ruin her date with Jughead but it seemed like her boyfriend really did pay attention to her because she was asked the one question she tried to avoid all night "What's wrong?" He asks her 

"It's nothing baby" She replies, grabbing his hand and caressing it gently giving him a small smile. 

"Please Juliet, tell me what's on your mind. Remember we promised to never keep things from each other" He reminds her, she nods in agreement and clears her throat. "It's just I miss my dad and Polly" She confesses to him as she looks down. 

Jughead looks over at her and gives her a sad smile, reaching over for her and pulled her towards him, making her sit on his lap. "Tell me about them" He says to her as he pushes a strand of hair behind her ear. 

"I want to hear about the two people you love most in this world Betty" He tells me 

Betty looks at him and gives him a smile and places a kiss on his lips "There's actually three people that I love most on this world" She confesses to him 

"Oh yeah?" He asks "May I know who is the first?" he asks her 

"Hmm, I don't know if i should. You might get jealous" She tells him with a teasing tone and a playful smirk replacing her smile that was on her lips. Jughead moved forwards and picked up Betty a bit making her squeal as he opened up her legs making her straddle him on the chair. 

"Maybe, I need to kick someone's ass" He whispers to her as he grazes his lips over the skin of her neck making her shiver, Jughead smirked at his accomplishment as he began to runs his hands up and down her back and over her neck. 

"Oh no, you'll ruin his gorgeous face" she replies with a pouty face that get's Jugheads motor running, wanting nothing more than to throw her onto the table and fuck her relentlessly. Betty just admitted to loving him the most and he couldn't be happier.

"Kiss me" He begs her and without another word she complies. The kiss gets heated fast but before it can go any further, Jughead pulls away, leaving Betty to whimper from the lost touch of his lips on hers. "Today, is about our date and wanting to prove to you that our relationship is a lot more than just sex" Jughead says to her as he caresses the features of her gorgeous face. 

"Juggie, what makes you think that?" Betty asks him, catching him off guard. 

"Well all we've done since we started going out is have sex and you Betty Cooper deserve a lot more than just that. You mean a lot more to me Betty. I want you to have it all while you're with me" He says to her as he looks her in the eyes. 

"You do give me everything, Jug" She says to him 

"How? All I've done is give you problems" He replies to her, feeling insecure all of a sudden. 

"And tell me what couple doesn't have problems Jug? I'm not saying it's healthy or anything but you have to face reality, we will continue to have problems and fights. Whether you like it or not but I can promise you that there's hardly nothing that can make me end things with you" She says to him with a voice of sincerity. His expression softens and he know's he can believe her and she's right there's nothing that can make them end things, neither him or her are willing to ever end things and he hopes that things between them are for the long haul.
