The next morning Nadia and Sid woke up when the alarm went off.
"Game day baby." Nadia says.
"I know. Switzerland." Sid says.
"Yup. " Nadia says.
"Let's get up and get ready." Sid says.
"Okay." Nadia says.
They both get up and get dressed. Nadia and Sid head out to the living room. They meet everyone there. The girls go to get the kids up, dressed and ready. While they were doing that the boys made breakfast. When it was finished they sit down and eat together. The girls then clean up the dishes when they finished. Finally they head out to the arena. They head inside. Sid and the boys head to the locker room to get ready. Nadia and the girls head to their seats.
"Well Canada is up first." Madison says.
"I know it will be a good game." Taylor says.
"You ever wins moves on." Autumn says.
"Yes." Nadia says.
"Then it is Russia and the USA." Anna says.
"Yes and no matter what the outcome. No hard feelings." Taylor says.
"Absolutely not." Anna says.
They get the kids situated in their seats. T hat was when Canada and Switzerland took the ice. After the anthems were sung the first period starts. Both teams were making attempts but weren't getting anything by. Finally towards the end of the first Switzerland scores making the girls groan. The first period ends and after a brief intermission the second starts. Not long into it Sid goes down and off the perfect feed from Justin and Kris scores tying the game.
"Hello yeah baby." Nadia says.
"That is my brother." Taylor replies.
"That was an awesome shot." Anna says.
"Assist for Kris." Madison says.
"And for Justin." Autumn says.
Towards the end of the second Switzerland scores making the girls groan again. After another brief intermission the third starts. Both teams go back and forth. Finally Justin off a feed from Kris and Sid and scores tying the game. Neither team can score again so they head to overtime.
"I hate OT." Madison says.
"Me too." Nadia says.
"It sucks." Taylor says.
"Yes it does. "Autumn replies.
"Come on guys." Anna says.
Overtime starts. Not long after Kris goes down and scores the game winner.
"Hell yeah baby." Madison says.
"That was awesome." Nadia says.
"Yes it was." Autumn says.
"Canada moves on." Anna says.
"Yes they do." Taylor says.
During the break they grab food and eat lunch. They had just finished when Russia and USA take the ice. After the national anthems were sung the first period starts. Both teams battle back and fourth. Finally Russia scores a goal breaking the tie . A few minutes later Russia scores again.
"Hell yeah." Anna says.
"That was awesome." Nadia says.
"Yes it was." Madison says.
"Yeah it was." Autumn says.
Taylor stayed quiet. After a brief intermission the second starts. Not long into the second Jake goes and scores.
"Yay baby." Taylor says.
"Wakey wakey goals with Jakey. "Madison says.
"That was awesome Tay." Anna says.
"Yes it was." Autumn says.
"Yes it was." Nadia says.
The second ends and after another brief intermission the third starts. Russia scores two more goals. Toward the end Jake scored two goals back to back gaining a hat trick but it wasn't enough to beat Russia.
"Sorry Tay." Anna says hugging her.
"Yeah sorry." Nadia and Madison say joining in on that hug.
"Jake played amazing." Autumn says hugging her as well.
"I know. Sucks but it wasn't meant to be. Congrats on Russia and Canada both making it into the next round." Taylor says.
"Sweden lost too." Madison says.
"Wow. So it looks like Russia will play Finland and Canada will play the Czech Republic." Nadia says.
"Wow that is awesome." Autumn says.
"Will be a good games." Anna says.
The girls all nod their heads. They head down to meet the guys. A little bit later they come out and they all head back to the hut.
"So Horny left." Jared says.
"Yeah and he said thanks for letting him stay with you guys." Matt says.
"Well damn that sucks he left." Madison says.
"Probably wanted to get home to his family." Kris replies.
"Yeah that is true." Nadia says.
"Yeah and I can't blame him there." Sid says.
"We were lucky we were able to come out with you guys." Autumn says.
"Yes we are glad you were able too as well." Justin says.
"Yes. Jake and I are staying to watch the rest of the tournament." Taylor says.
"Yes we are." Jake replies.
"Good. Good game friend even though lost." Geno says.
"Yeah it was a good game." Anna says.
They arrive back at the hut. No one felt like cooking so they order food. They got a variety of different things and made a buffet out of it. When they finished and everything was cleaned up they play games with the kids. Finally it was time for bed. The girls get the kids all tucked into their fort. They decided to call it a night. Nadia and Sid head to their room. They get ready for bed and climb in.
"I am so proud of you baby." Nadia says.
"Thanks." Sid says.
"You scored a goal and Team Canada is moving on." Nadia says kissing him.
"I know I was happy. After the shit performance in the playoffs that felt amazing." Sid says.
"It was amazing. You Kris and Justin are just in sync." Nadia says.
They make love a few times before snuggling together.
"Goodnight baby. I love you." Sid says.
"Goodnight baby, I love you too." Nadia says.
They snuggle together falling into a much needed sleep.
