(FTO) Behind the Eyes of a Flower

(welp, this is the story that wouldn't leave me alone, now that it's written i feel a lot better actually, XD, now i should be able to write better)

Mario pov (Shrugs let it play out)

I walk into the guild hall from a long mission, only to be met with all the other guilds inside and a panicking Divinus Magia. I walk in slightly pushing my way through, in the middle of the group is David, Lucas, Michael, and Mrs. P, they all appear to be distressed. I raise my eyebrow and cross my arms "What happened?" I ask. David and Lucas jump, Michael answers "These two panicked, because no one has seen Ritchie in over two days." i freeze, "did he go after his brother?" I ask. Mrs. P speaks "No, he acted odd the last time we saw him, he was drunk off his rocker but said "Brandon asked! He's alive! Gotta go giant!" then walked out, no one has seen him since." i think for a moment "giant you say?" i question, and they nod, "well this may not have anything to do with this but there is a giant cavern under the island, it's usually empty but it has a presence in it right now." i feel many stares on me and i shrug "what!? I'm a Cavern Dragon Slayer." Michael then says "take us there." I nod and we head outside and I create a rock staircase downward.

We make it down and then we hear a male voice "Are you sure this is the only way?" it's Ritchie! then another voice speaks "Yes, i need you to be at full power or i won't be able to get out!" that was Brandon! my eyes widen and i turn to my companions and they all have similar expressions. We sneak around the corner and see we are still in the air, but we look down and all of us let out a small gasp, because down below us is a Giant Ritchie, his eyes are closed and it would seem Ritchie is sharing his mouth with Brandon as they converse. Ritchie then sighs and tears begin to fall, and he sings out a lyric

"I heard the angels call again......."

We all choke on our air, because it's a female voice, Ritchie pulls out a medallion from under his poncho, he stares at the medallion

"I threw myself a party

Chardonnay and Oxy

I stopped the screams inside my head

I remember when you had me

Floating high like Sid and Nancy

He leans his head back again his eyes closed

They say it's not the answer

But i can't carry on

'Cause i got nowhere

No one"

He reaches over to a ledge and pulls out a human sized teddy bear, he lowers his head and looks at the bear, he lets out a small sob then continues

"Without you boy i'm done

And when i'm gone

Remember you're the one

And just because i fight don't mean I never learned how to love"

He yanks off the necklace and throws it across the room, a flash of light and a female sits in Ritchie's place, Michael chokes on his air, tears clearly streaming down her eyes and she's angry, but she continues singing

"You know devils don't fly!

So don't expect me not to fall!"

She curls up bringing her knees to her chest and stares at the medallion on the other side of the room

"Devils don't fly

But God we almost had it all

But i got chains and you got wings

You know that life ain't fair sometimes

Devil's don't fly

But i try"

Ritchie stops and whispers "that good enough for you Brandon?" there's no answer. Kay catches my eye and nods at me, I nod back and we sneak away from the group.

We go to another part of the cavern and begin talking loudly, "I told you i heard singing from somewhere!" Kay says and i say back getting into character "I know you did i heard it to, but i said we can't go that way!" Kay groans "you and your dumb rules!" i growl "rules that have kept you alive when we go cave spelunking, but this wasn't a planned spelunking we fell into this caverne and who may i ask is the Cavern Dragon Slayer hmm? Me or you?" she sighs "you....." i nod and then point a direction she nods, and begins walking "WAIT NOT THAT W-" and i crack the earth below us and we fall through, the female's eyes widen and she jumps at us hands out catching us. "MARIO! KAY! You two need to be more careful!" she cries out, as we land in her hand. She looks at us and then her eyes widen and she whispers "sh&^." we look up at her and Kay asks "how do you know our names?" playing the part of innocent, she looks around quickly and we blink at her expectantly, "can you two keep a secret?" she asks and we nod. "I'm Ritchie......know i know you all are like "no that's can't be Ritchie's a male." but hear me out." we look to each other then up at the female and nod, the female sighs "alright so, you know that i don't come from Atlantide, me and my brother come from Selode." we nod, so she continues "well we may have lied about not having magic, we have giants, and well there was this big war going on between humans and giants but my parents ended it, by falling in love, and then they had kids, Brandon and myself, so the war was no more." we look at her confused, she sighs and continues "well right before we came to Atlantide we were given our family's heirloom on our mother's side, a medallion to change our appearances, I used it often because i hated how i looked, and then we came to Atlantide and i just stayed a guy...........that was until i met the love of my life."

We perk up and listen at this, Ritchie smiles and continues "he found me beautiful as a girl, he never knew i was evil or pretended to be a guy, we married and had a kid.......all behind my brother's back, when he found out that i had another family, he never knew who they were, he was angry that i didn't tell him, and he made me choose, between my families.....i choose my new one, and hurt him deeply for it." Ritchie lets out a sob "It didn't last long, we were attacked and i escaped with my child, i left her with fairies and told them to hide her away and i gave her a medallion of her own, since the heirloom could replicate itself with each new family member added to the family. Then I ran away and went back to my brother, he took me back in, and we were caught two months later, we were reformed, and now here we are....." we blink at her, then at each other surprised, "wait you said you gave your daughter a medallion right?" Ritchie nodded and Kay brought out a medallion from under her dress, "would i be this one?......" she asks holding it up, Ritchie gasps and then lets out a sob "S-Sabrina?" she asks and Kay freezes, "i-i-i remember!" Kay shouts and hugs Ritchie's thumb. "So wait what is your real name then?" i ask confused, Ritchie smiles at me "Lilac, my real name is Lilac Lukaya." (Thanks Mythic) My eyes go wide and my mouth drops and I ask "isn't that Michael's last name?" Rit-or should i think Lilac, smiles softly "yeah......" and all the pieces fit together, "you're Michael's wife, Lilac." i say in shock, she nods and i hear Michael let out a loud sob, Lilac's head snaps up to where everyone is located, she sits there frozen mouth agape. Michael jumps down, she reacts by lifting her hands quickly to catch him, others jump on after him, and she holds all of us in her palms. She lets out a sob and whispers "i'm SO sorry, Michael. I wanted to tell you so badly but i...." Michael shushes her by kissing her large lips, his head burying into her pale flesh, when he pulls back Lilac is blushing redder than Bryan's fire. We hear a throat clear and we all turn and there stands a giant version of Brandon, "I knew you were close to Michael i just never put two and two together." he says smile playing at his lips, "BRANDON!" everyone shouts happy and Lilac places us on a ledge and rushes her brother and hugs him tightly, "d-don't EVER do that again!" she cries into his shoulder, Brandon hugs back and the two shrink down to human size, i use my magic and get us to their level.

Michael tackles Lilac in a hug and begins cuddling her, and actually falls asleep. Lilac picks him up and we head upstairs, the happy family reunion is over, and a party is needed.
