(FTO) The Pinch of Hope

(This is NOT the FTO AU Request, this is a part 2 to my Ritchie is Lilac one shot, i really had to get this out of my head, i'll be writing the request next)

Ritchie/Lilac pov

After Brandon returned, me and my brother spent more time as Giants stretching out our bodies, since us being human makes us feel cramped. Michael, Sabri-i mean Kay, and I have been hanging out a lot more, which I find absolutely comforting, but for some reason I feel guilt every time I do, the worst part is that it's not just me feeling guilt, I can feel that my Brother also feels guilt.

We were hanging out today, all the guilds, were just hanging out on the island. "then I walked out of the forest, unscatehed and the villiagers were in awe of me!" Tapio is telling his story to the Protectors, who were staring at him with stars in their eyes. I see movement in the corner of my eye, I nudge Brandon, and he nods seeing it too, the thing moves into the daylight, it's a cloaked person. They pull out a potion and throws it at Lucas, Brandon shoots forward and takes the potion to his chest, it breaks spilling it's contents on his chest, there's a flash of light and we all turn away. When we turn back, the cloaked person is gone and Brandon is on the ground unconscious, "BRANDON!" i shout and rush to his side, i touch his arm and he spasms. I jump back surprised, smoke floats from his mouth and a cloud hovers above him, the cloud clears and inside is......oh gods....no, not this memory. I grab Brandon and shake him, saying "Brandon! Please! Not this one! We can't handle it again!" the memory begins and i let out a sob of defeat.

Brandon pov

I stand angry, shocked, hurt, and beyond feeling betrayed, there standing in front of me is my sister and a man, a kid between them. "Lilac?" i call out and she stops mid step, she looks up at me eyes wide and then she looks to the man and child, then back to me. "Who is this dear?" the man asks, "My twin i told you about." my sister whispers, i can feel her panic oozing into our bond, i growl and stomp off. I hear footsteps behind me and I know she is following me, I begin to run, tears coming to my eyes, her footsteps quicken. I make it back to the cave, and she tackles me to the ground "LET ME GO TRAITOR!" I shout "Let me explain!" she begs and i shove her off, she flies back and hits her head against the ground, i growl at her "You had another entire life! What about ME!? What if that man or that child finds out who WE are and we are finally taken down!?" i shout at her as she stands holding her bleeding head "Yes Brandon i have another life, but that's because i knew what we did and wanted to keep it a secret, but still live my life as myself!" she says, i growl and say "No Betrayal in the Diablous. That's our family's motto!" she lets scream, then shouts "I DIDN'T BETRAY YOU! I JUST WANTED TO LIVE MY LIFE! I NEVER WANTED TO BE A CRIMINAL!" i growl and shout back "DO YOU THINK I WANTED TO EITHER!? IT'S THE ONLY WAY HOME!" we glare at each other "Decide right here, and now, me or them." i say coldly, her eyes go wide and i see her heart shatter, "Brandon...." "NO! CHOOSE!" i shout angrily.She looks me in the eye "if i had my real brother i would choose you, but you are not the brother i grew up with, so i choose THEM!" she says angrily and i growl i use my magic and trap her in an air bubble, then i sing to her how i feel.

I see her eyes widen as i refer to home (imma make Selode modern day so sh!)

I growl and fly us up above the cave and too look over Atlantide,
