Main Story- Chapter 14

We walked into the cafe, and the smell of coffee and fresh baked bread greeted me. I held the book under my arm. I wonder if Satan has read this. We seated ourselves at a table for two and ordered coffee and some food. I took a peek inside the book, and it just seemed normal.
I flipped it open completely and scanned the text.
The seven deadly sins that we know exist are Pride, Greed, Envy, Wrath, Lust, Gluttony, and Sloth. Demons take the form of the seven deadly sins.
Lucifer- The Avatar of Pride
Mammon- The Avatar of Greed
Leviathan- The Avatar of Envy
Satan- The Avatar of Wrath
Asmodeus- The Avatar of Lust
Beelzebub- The Avatar of Gluttony
Belphegor- The Avatar of Sloth
"Hey, this mentions all of the brothers." I said.
"And... this surprises you?" Lucifer asked. Okay that was kind of stupid.
"Not really." I turned to the next page as the waitress set down our cups of coffee. I took a sip and glanced at the chapter title:
Lucifer: The Avatar of Pride, The Morningstar
The Morningstar. That was his name when he was an angel, right? I giggle.
"What?" Lucifer asked. I looked up at him, smiling.
"There's a whole chapter about you in here." I said.
"Really? It's all good things, I hope." Lucifer said as I turned the page and scanned the little paragraphs.
"It does say that you were beautiful as an angel..." I said, sneaking a peek at him. He blushed a little bit and looked at his coffee.
"W-what does it say the eighth deadly sin is?" Lucifer asked, changing the subject. I grinned. I guess he doesn't know how to handle compliments. I flipped towards the back of the book and saw something that caught my eye.
The eighth deadly sin is know as Despond. As a verb meaning to become dejected and lose confidence. As a noun, it is referred to as a state of unhappiness and low spirits.
Huh. I read it aloud to Lucifer. He started thinking. I looked more towards the bottom of the page.
"The demon to represent the eighth deadly sin has never been found, but people did speculate that it was the demon brothers little sister, Lillith. Unfortunately, that was never fully proven. People still haven't found who is the Avatar of Despond, but we do know that it is the strongest of the seven deadly sins." I read outloud. I took another sip of my coffee and looked up at Lucifer. He was staring down at the book, basically reading the words upside down.
"Can I ask you a question, MC?" Lucifer asked.
"Y-yeah." I said. Why was I very nervous all of a sudden?
"Do you believe that there is a eighth deadly sin?" He said.
"Maybe. But it would be funny to see how you react when someone is stronger than you." I said. Lucifer raised his eyebrow.
"Oh, really?" He asked. I nodded and laughed. Lucifer set his coffee down and stood up.
"I have to use the restroom, try not to get in trouble." He said.
"I'll try not to." I joked as he walked towards the restroom. I closed the old book and put it in my bag. I went to grab my coffee, but the cup shattered and the coffee spilled onto the table. I panicked and grabbed some napkins and cleaned it up. What was that? I wrapped the shattered cup in a napkin and threw them away. Maybe it was just and old cup or something, right?
