Chapter 12: Family Outing

I sigh as I look out the window. Dad and I are at Alamo's eating steak, Yea not the normal lunch meal but hey, I love steak.

"So, I was thinking," Dad starts. "Maybe we can go bowling this weekend." He looks up at me.

"Bowling?" I ask.

Dad nods. "You, Nicole, Griffon and I. Have a family outing, go do something fun! We haven't done anything fun yet." He smiles. "Want to?"

I smile brightly. "Sure! That sounds great! What day?" I ask, picking my coke and taking a sip.

"How bout... Saturday?"

I nod, "Sweet."

-Saturday-

"Wake up! Wake up! We are gonna go early!" Dad comes in my room and shakes my leg.

I grumble and groan. "...Why?"

"We're going bowling! Come on! Get your lazy ass up!" He chuckles slightly. "Don't make me get the hose." He threatens through giggles.

"Leave me alone..." I mumble as I pull the covers over my head.

"I swear I will go get a spray bottle and drown your face if you don't get up." Dad sighs.

My eyes are closed, but I still roll them. He won't do it. He doesn't follow through unless it's serious. I hear him walk away, open a door and then a few seconds later he walks back beside my bed.

He pulls the blankets off and sprays my face. I jump and wiped it off, sitting up. "DAD!" I yell. "What the hell!?" I look up at him, glaring.

"Get up." He smirks.

"I will soon, it's seven in the morning." I lay back down. He sprays my face again.

"Get. Up." He narrows his eyes, aiming my spray bottle at my face.

I sat up and grumbled under my breath. "Fine! I'm up!" I threw the blankets off of myself and stood up, he smiles and wraps his arms around me.

"Morning baby girl!" He chuckles.

I sigh and smile, I love his warm hugs he gives me in the mornings. He never fails to miss one. I hug him back and kiss his cheek. "Morning Dad." I let go and shooed him outta my room. "Go, I'm up. Give me my water bottle back. I'm gonna take a shower and then I'll be down." I reach my hand out.

Dad looks at the water bottle and then at me, his finger on the trigger. He raises his hand and quickly sprays my face, he puts it in my hand and booked it for the stairs.

"DAD!" I groan. I shake my head and sigh as I hear him giggling as he walks down the stairs. "You're gonna pay!" I yell. I shut my bedroom door and shuffled to my bathroom.

-at the bowling alley-

"Come on Princess, let's go see if they have bowling shoes in your size." Dad tells Nicole.

"Okay Daddy!" She smiles and holds his hand.

I follow behind them, Griffon right beside me. My eyes are suddenly drawn to the arcade area.

"Uh..." I bite my lip.

Griffon smiles at me. "Here, go. I'll come and get you after we're done getting our shoes. I know your size anyways." She hands me some change.

I smile at her. "Thanks Griff!" I giggle and ran to all the old games.

I ran to the racing games and sat down. I put a quarter in and picked out my car, the map, and duration.
