"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Ryan asks as he pulls up to my Dad's house.

I look over at him and nod, "I'll be fine baby," I smile softly at him before I unbuckle my seatbelt. "His car isn't here, so that means he's already at work. This is the perfect time to go grab what I need." I try to reassure Ryan, hiding that I was still upset about what happened.

I know Ryan's worried, not just about leaving me here but in general. It's sweet of him, and I appreciate that he worries.
"I can wait for you if you want me to." He says, and I instantly began to shake my head.

"You're already late for work, you should've been there fifteen minutes ago." I point to the clock on the dashboard, which displayed that it was already 8:15am. "It's going to take you a good half hour to get there. I don't know how long I'll be." I lean over the console to press a soft kiss to his lips. "Go to work." I mumble, pressing another kiss to his lips before I open the truck door and hop out.
I didn't want to go in there, but I had to. I had to get some clothes at least, I can get other things later.

Ryan sighs and nods his head, "Alright," He looks down at his phone for a few seconds before he looks back towards me. "If you need me, my phone will be on me at all times. My ringer is on."

Right, phone.
I lean back into the truck and grab my phone out of the cup holder. "Thank you for reminding me, I have mine as well." I stuff my phone into the pocket of Ryan's hoodie after I had pulled on it and fixed it in the back.

"I love you."

"I love you too." I smile genuinely at Ryan, "I'll call you in a bit after I settle at Tina's."

Ryan nods, "Alright, then I'll see you later tonight after work." I nod and I shut the truck door, we both had agreed that I would stay at Tina and Ray's today until he gets off of work. Plus, I haven't really hung out with Tina in a while and we need to catch up on some stuff. It would give me time to just catch a break from all this stress, which is really weighing down my shoulders.

I head down the familiar walkway, my chest tightening with each step I take.
Once I make it to the door, I hesitate for a second to grab my key. But I have to do it, not only because I need my things, but because I know Ryan won't leave until I step in and shut the door behind me.

I grab my spare key out of my pocket and unlocked the door, as soon as I push it open, I hear Ryan's truck start up again.
I step in and turn around to wave at Ryan as he pulls away, then I shut the door and lock it.

I kick off my shoes and shoved the spare key back into my pocket with a soft sigh, I know I can take my time now.
I slowly head for the stairs, not really paying any attention to anything else but the task at hand.

"Well, look who showed up."

I instantly stop in my tracks, "Shit.." I mutter before slowly turning around to look into the living room.

"I thought you would try to-..try to sneak in here while I was at work.." Geoff struggles with his words slightly, and that's when I notice that there's beer bottles and whiskey bottles surrounding him at his feet and on the table, along with the alcohol cabinet doors wide open.

"I'm just here to get some clothes to last me for a few weeks." I mumble, my eyes narrowing at him.

"Where are you staying?" Geoff asks as he sets the bottle that was in his hand down, his foot knocking over a empty bottle, sending it rolling my way.

I don't even want to answer him, he's just going to yell at me like he yelled at Ryan. I wave him off and continue to head for the stairs.
