Chapter 14: Does He Love You?

-Week later-

"You almost fucking blew our cover Ryan!" I groan as I rub my face.

"I know! I'm sorry!" Ryan sighs. "It almost slipped but I covered my ass! We're safe."

I sigh and walked towards the stairs. "You have to leave at least by six. Dad and the family are gonna be heading home at five-thirty. It'll take them at least an hour to get back from Griffon's family's house." I say, heading up the steps.

"And you didn't go because..?"

"Cause I don't know her side of the family, plus I told Dad I would edit for him if I could stay home." I shrug, shuffling my feet as I walk down the hallway and into my room.

I plop down on my bed, laid on my stomach and opened my laptop. Ryan makes his way into my room and lays on his stomach beside me.

"How much do you have to do?" He asks, resting his chin on his hands, looking up at my screen. I show him all the files Dad downloaded on my computer. "I can help," he skims through the file names. "Do you guys have another laptop?"

I nod, "Yea but Dad will question me why I used two computers to work..." I sigh. "Plus I can do this." I wave my hand and leaned over my bed to grab my controller. I place it in front of Ryan and grabbed my wireless mouse, opened a file and grabbed my earbuds. "You're more than welcome to do as you please." I smile and kissed his cheek before I stuck my earbuds in my ears.

After the first file was edited, I shift and lean up against Ryan, my laptop now on my legs. I rest my head on Ryan's back, occasionally feeling soft vibrations when he cusses.

"Hey Gavin?"

"Yea?"

"Come back by the glass, hey, no this way." Geoff says.

Gavin walks back over by the glass and looks at Geoff. "What?"

"Hey, dig down." Geoff says plainly.

Gavin broke the rail and block. Then stopped halfway. "Oh no! No! You trying to kill me! There's lava under me isn't there?" Gavin squawks.

Geoff starts laughing. "No!"

"I almost fell for it too!" Gavin laughs, breaking the block once he wasn't on it, revealing lava. "Nooo I almost did it too!"

I giggle and kept that part in there. I feel Ryan shift, then pat my leg. I pull a earbud out of my ear and paused the video.

"What are you laughing at?" He asks.

I shift and turn, moving my laptop slightly. "Oh, just dad trying to murder Gavin by tricking him into digging down into lava."

Ryan shakes his head and smiles. "Mega Dig Down?"

I nod and edited part of the video, deleting silent scenes or pointless parts. I yawn as I looked at how long the video was, which approximately it was about six hours long. I'm going to murder the build crew the next time I see them.

Before I knew it, the video was fully done and edited, which came down to be about... Ehh three hours long. I looked at the time and groaned. It was already four.

"You're still playing?" I ask as Ryan was playing Gears of War: Judgment.

"Yea, I can't find the last piece of the... Infinity blade..." Ryan mumbles, running his character around like its head is chopped off.

"Let me see, maybe I can find it." I say as Ryan sighs frustratedly. He puts the controller in my hand and I instantly look around. He hit every place, really.
