Chapter 10

Krish's POV:




Everyone were working their asses off.! Tanya had kept everyone on their toes.

Just five more nights until the "Party of the Year".

Entire complex was looking forward to it. The party was on saturday night and it was also Keya's birthday on Sunday.


So when the clock strikes midnight, we were going to shower her with surprises.


Leaving her alone with Vivan in that huge house didn't appeal much to me. But then, she can take care of herself, especially after what she did at the basketball.! I refused to tag along with her coz Tanya wanted to rehearse for the surprise dance we were pulling off for Keya.


We just didn't believe ourselves.. There were going to be more than five performances! Plus, a dance-off with some other dance group. We had sent them an invitee. In short, it's gonna be hell-a-lot-of Fun!!


"ALRIGHT GUYS.. LETS TAKE A BREAK AND THEN START WITH THE DANCE-OFF PRACTICE" , Tanya announced through her mic, "GOOD JOB TILL NOW. KEEP IT UP".




"Good job done yourself Ma'am", I told her when she approached me.


"Thank you..!", she rolled her eyes.


This was the right time to give Tanya the gift I had got for her.


"Tanya.. I have something for you..", I said and took out a black velvet box from my pocket.


"Me?? What? What's this??", she was surprised.


"Open it"


She opened the box and her the moment she saw the silver heart pendant she jumped from where we were sitting.


"Oh my God Krish!! This.. this is beautiful.. Thank you so much..there was no need for this though", she had loved it.


"Don't thank me sweetheart.. I saw you staring at it back at the showroom and I owed you something for helping me out and for being such a great friend.. I can always count on you Tanya.", I really could.


"Awww.. I'm so lucky to have you as a friend", she said and I pulled her into a small hug.


"Let me put it for you..", I offered.


That silver chain and pendant looked more beautiful on her. Tanya was so adorable that she could get any handsome and smart guy. But here she was, still hooked to me. I couldn't give her what she wanted. But I always want to see her happy and for that I can obviously do such small small things.










Aanya's POV:






"Mom.. I'm home!", my sister was shouting downstairs.


It was just ten o'clock. She didn't return before eleven.


"Early tonight?", I asked her when she came in the room.


"Yep.. But not from tomorrow.. And you also come to help us! Don't just sit home doing nothing!"


"The 'nothing' is called research!", I frowned.


"Oh come on Anna..", yeah that was my pet name, "you enjoy working with us, don't you?"


Well. I did. It was fun to work with all the youngsters of the complex. We have tonnes of fun! But I really had to complete my research paper.


"I will try", I said.


She changed into her pyjamas and was staring into our full length mirror. That was when I noticed a new accessory on her body.






"When did you get this??", I sprang upon her.


"Oh.. It's just a gift", she turned to me and I got a proper view of her necklace.


"Cute heart .. Who gave it to you?", I inquired admiring it.


"Umm.. Krish", she looked at the ground.


"What the fuck!"


"Aanya!", she shouted.


"Seriously? Why the hell is he trying to lead you on?"


"He isn't Aanya"


"Oh really?? Listen Tanya.. By doing all this for you, he is just showing you oasis in the desert. How difficult it was to get you away from his thoughts! And now again you will start seeing his dreams... And ultimately get your heart broken! Coz I don't think he has yet moved on from Aarya"


"Aanya you never know.. Maybe he has..", she was trying to defend him.


"That's exactly what I meant by leading you on..", I sighed.


She got irritated and frustrated, "I'm not Aanya! and anyway I think of him only as a friend now! A very close friend!"


She was lying. But I really couldn't argue with her more,"Do whatever you want, I just can't see my sister hurt". I turned away from her.


She came and hugged me from behind, "You won't .. I promise..".


Krish wasn't a bad guy. He was like an elder brother to me. We both were the naughtiest pranksters around. But when it comes to my sister, I would not tolerate his shit.!


He needs to make a decision soon!! I care for my sisters .! And both of them are unhappy because of the idiotic thing called love!!


God! Relationships, commitments, feelings, emotions.. I'm never gonna understand all that crap!
