Lost boy | Luke Hemmings

Chapter 6

After Luke and I sing 'Lego House,' the boys sing some more songs together and we all talk for a while. I can't believe it's already 9 o'clock.

"Hey Chiarra? Do you want to come outside?" Luke asks, the nervous look back on his face. He holds out his hand for me.

"Sure." I take his hand and we walk out the back door. I look back in the room to see Eureka and all the boys give me a thumbs-up. I'm still holding Luke's hand as we walk through a sliding door and out to the backyard. We step off the deck and I follow Luke to the grass in his backyard. Like his house, Luke's backyard is huge with an indoor pool to my right, a plastic white dog, grass and to the left a trampoline and a swing set. I can also see a shed or something behind it.

"There's just a room out there." Luke says confirming that I was seeing a room out the back behind the pool. What was in there? "I like to spend my time in there." He says. I'm unexpectedly nervous and not completely sure why he's taking me there but decide to trust him and walk towards the little shed.

When I step inside I am once again surprised. I didn't expect a room full with more guitars and instruments hanging off the walls. It is a fairly big room and there are two lonely seats in the middle.

"Come. Sit." Luke says, making his way over to the chairs and pointing to the one next to him. I shiver again at the sound of his voice and he notices.

"Are you cold?" He asks already taking off his jacket. I am cold but his voice was the thing making me shiver.

"Yeah. Thank you." I say anyway, trying to do anything to get me closer to Luke. I grab his jumper and slip my arms into it. It's way too big for me but I leave it on. It's comfy and I imagine if Luke and I were dating how often I would wear his jumpers or shirts.

"You look so cute." He says but then his eyes widen with shock as he realises what he's said. "Here I can see you eyeing off this guitar." Luke grabs a guitar off of the wall, clearly changing the subject. It's a beautiful brown acoustic guitar but it just feels so good in my hands. I start playing again and I sing:

But I can't hear a word you say

I'm talking loud not saying much

I'm criticized

"You have an amazing voice Chiarra." Luke says and I can tell he means it by the way he looks me in the eyes. I'm just glad I had the guts to sing and not back out as I usually hate singing in front of people, as I have said before.

"Thank you. But so do you." I point out.

"Can I... sing you something?" Luke asks pointing to the guitar.

"Sure." I hand him the guitar and he starts singing so beautifully.

"I'm coming because I need to find you

"Luke..."

If you have read my other book Andy Biersack - Sexy and Romantic (if you haven't please do) this chapter kind of relates to chapter 6 in that book. I wrote that book for my friend and I am in it with Luke and he sings me 'Lost Boy' like he does in here but with Chiarra.
