Chapter 3: Dinner with the parents

Finn's POV

I was standing on the porch of my house with a sucker in my mouth. My pockets were constantly filled with these because of Marcy. These things are an addiction. I randomly pull them put of my pocket and eat them like their cigarettes. But they're far more addictive than nicotine. I once pulled one out around Ivy and she asked me for one. I nicely replied with a hell no.

I was not only forced to go to dinner with her and her parents but I was forced to wear dress clothes. I wore a white button up and a pair of black slacks with black converse. I heard Ivy trotting through my house click clacking in her heels and come out to the porch. "Finn we have to go soon and where is your tie?" She bossed. My tie is up your... "Finn." She called impatiently like I haven't heard her. I took the sucker out of my mouth and turned around.

"We need to go." She said and stamped back into my house. I put my sucker back in my mouth and went in the house creating a portal straight to her parent's home. We walked in and Ivy called "Mom! Daddy!" Her parents came towards us. "Pudding!" Her dad said at the sight of Ivy. When they finished greeting their daughter they turned to me and her father said to me "It's a true pleasure go have you here Finn." I nodded. Looks like I'll have to lie through this meal.

"It's a pleasure to be here" "Lets sit and finish this conversation at the table." Her mother said. We sat at a set table with food on it. Another reason I didn't wanna come. "It was hard persuading him to come at first." Ivy said. "Why?" Her father asked curiously. Ivy laughed and said "Well Finn and the princess of the candy kingdom, Princess Bubblegum found a baby and they take care of her and Finn wanted to spend Christmas with her." She said like it was funny. I practically forced myself not to glare at her. I took this time to read everyone's mind. Ivy thought like I'd let him do that haha. Her mom thought Ivy stop laughing Damn it. And her father thought what's so funny. He's about to rip your head off.

Her parents' thoughts amused me but I still proceeded in carrying out my next action. I got up from my seat. "I apologize but I'm going to take my leave now, it was a joy to meet you two." I said and made a portal back to my house. I pulled out another sucker and floated towards the candy kingdom.

When I got there I turned invisible. I saw Marceline in a corner eating a whole plate of macaroni and cheese. I sat by her and poked her cheek. "Hmm" she looked up still chewing macaroni. She shrugged and I poked her again when she swallowed her food. She put her plate down and punched out towards me. A punch landed on my arm. A hard ass punch. "Ow" I said and turned visible. Her eyes lit up at the sight of me and screamed "FINN" and tackled me with a hug. "Whoa." I exclaimed "Hey Marcy" She let me go and punched my arm. "And that's for making me spend Christmas with Bubblegum." She said and folded her arms.

"Hey, do you think I'd really want to dress like this" I said pointing at my clothing. She chuckled and said "Finn you look stupid" and she giggled louder. "Oh yeah" I said and picked her up flying outside of the kingdom and up into the sky. "She held onto my shirt as I flew up. "Higher Finn higher." She cheered. "How high you want me to go?" "Da moon" She screeched. I chuckled at her. "How about no." She pouted. I reached in my pocket and gave her a sucker. "My favourite flavor." She said. I rolled my eyes "They're all your favourite flavor." She shook her head. "No I don't like grape,Orange and some other ones." She said.

I shook my head and floated back down to the ground. I put her down and she gasped. "What's wrong?" I asked her and she ran to the kingdom. "My MACARONI!" She yelled. I laughed as her little legs carried her to her macaroni. I flew behind her and picked her up taking her to her macaroni. "Yea no one ate it." She said sitting down and eating it. I ruffled up her short hair. "When did you cut your hair." "A long time ago." She said finishing her macaroni and put her plate in the trash. "PB FINN IS HERE." She shouted at Bubblegum. "Oh hey Finn" she said continuing to write whatever she was writing. "I'm taking her to my house" I said "Okay Finn" she said.

I scooped up Marceline and took her home with me. "I've got a surprise for you." I told her and her eyes lit up. "What is it?" "I told you it's a surprise." I said rolling my eyes.  We got to my house and I opened the door. "Finn!" A voice called.

Oh shit.
