Ashley's POV

Tumakbo ako pakanan at hinampas ang shuttle cock nang malakas sabay balik ulit sa pwesto ko. Mabilis naman itong naibalik ng kalaban ko ngunit tumalbog ang shuttle cock paitaas sanhi nang pagtalon ko, i bend my right arm a bit and smash it so hard towards my opponent. Dumaan lang sa kaliwa niya ang shuttle cock at hindi niya na ito nahampas pa pabalik. Which makes me smile in victory.

"End game!"

"You're really a monster in court ash"

Hinihingal na sigaw ni rey sa kabilang court halatang pagod na pagod na ito at tagaktak na din ang pawis niya, well this is our fifth game for today. We meet in the middle and shake our hands.

"It was a good match rey"

I smiled at him and leave the court. Kinuha ko ang towel sa bag at nagpunas ng pawis. I glance at my watch and found that almost 7pm na pala I guess I miss playing that much. I snaked my gym bag on my shoulder and naglakad na sa shower room.

After a quick shower ay dumiretso na ako sa parking lot.

"Miss Monticello"

It was Mr. Perez.

"Yes coach?"

I glance at him while putting my things on the backseat.

"Ahm I would like to know kung nakumbinsi mo na ba siya?"

Sabay kamot nito sa ulo niya. I absentmindedly bite my lower lip.

Dang.

That woman again.

"I talk to her the other day but she declined"

Well it's better to say those things than convincing her again. I don't want to talk to her anymore.

I'm sorry coach.

I saw a hint of sadness in the eyes of Mr. Perez. Talagang gusto niyang mapasali ang babaeng iyon.

I pity him.

"Oh I see, well then thank you so much for your help Miss Monticello"

He offer a slight smile.

" no biggie coach, mauna na po ako"

I smile at him at pumasok na sa kotse.  I maneuver the car and put it on the road.

I was on my way in my unit when suddenly dad called me.

"Hey Dad"

"Ashley honey how was your stay so far?"

"Hmm it was fine dad, kakauwi ko lang po galing practice"

I release a sigh.

"Just call me if you need anything okay. Be safe. love you"

Dad said, he's really sweet though. Well silang dalawa ni mom, they never failed to check if I'm okay since this is the first time na mapapalayo talaga ako sa kanila nang matagal, though I've been quiet away from them when I have international games but it was just a short span of time kumpara ngayon.

They're in States right now busy handling our company.

"Sure thing dad be safe too. Send my kisses to mom love you both"

"Bye honey"

I hung up the phone and shove it on my pocket.

"Hi Ashley"

Sabi ng taong nasa likod ko. I glance at him. His quiet tall and has eyeglasses on. Napakunot ang noo ko.

"Do I know you?"

Napakamot ito ng bahagya sa ulo and laugh awkwardly.

"Ahm ehem, by the way I'm jade"

Nakalahad na kamay na pakilala nito. Nang tatanggapin ko na ito ay saka naman may malakas na bumatok sa kanya. Napangiwi ito sa sakit. Which makes me do the same thing. He really looks hurt.

"Pasensya ka na sa kanya"

And it happened na ang babae pala na ito ang bumatok kay Jade. She's just wearing a plain white v-neck shirt with a black cardigan on and a black jeans. I hate to say this but she looks really cool on that clothes of her. Nakita ko din ang tatlong beer in can na hawak niya, she then drags the guy named Jade sa unit niya and closes the door.

I just shook my head and pumasok na din sa unit ko.

It was pass 10 in the evening and here I am lying on my bed. Hindi ako makatulog.

Tumayo ako sa bed and found myself in the rooftop. I was making a small steps on the rooftop when I spotted someone. She's holding a can of beer on her right hand while looking at the sky. Tinatangay ng hangin ang mahaba nitong buhok.

She's still wearing her jeans na suot niya kanina but nakasuot na siya ng jacket ngayon. Shoot I forgot mine.

My mind is contemplating kung tutuloy paba o hindi nalang. Well magpapahangin lang naman ako and there's no problem with that right. Napabuga ako ng hangin at tumabi nalang sa kanya. I glance above while hugging myself.

"Can't sleep?"

Nabaling ang tingin nito sa akin. I wonder kung sa hangin ba ako lalamigin o sa mga tingin niya. Her green eyes shows no emotion at all which makes me shiver more.

"Yeah"

I simply said and ibinalik ko na ang tingin sa taas. Ang liwanag ng langit dahil sa mga bituin na nagkikislapan sa itaas. It makes me release a comfortable sighed.

Napapitlag ako ng maramdaman ang presensya niya sa likod ko.

"What are you-"

"Just take this"

She cut me off and gently put her jacket on my shoulder then bumalik na din sa dating pwesto nito kanina. I absentmindedly inhale her perfume on her jacket. She has a nice smell though. I bit my lower lip on that thought.

"Thanks"

That's the only word that comes out on my mouth. I don't know why it feels so awkward when she's around specially now na katabi ko siya. I feel like suffocated kahit na ang lakas naman ng hangin dito sa rooftop. She just shrugged her shoulder and inubos na ang laman ng beer, she then throw the empty can on the trashbin which is adjacent to us. Nagsimula na din itong maglakad pabalik sa loob living me glancing at here until my eyes can't see here anymore. I sighed exasperatedly.

May romantic bones din pala siya. Napangiti ako ng lihim sa naisip.
