"Sit down Maddie, we need to talk"
~Maddie~
"I want you to marry Xavier" I choked on my own saliva.
"What? Did I hear that correctly?" I looked at my father in disbelief while Xavier stayed quiet.
"Maddie, yes you did. You and Xavier are a good match. You two will lead the company to even more success together. I'll announce your engagement at the ball. You won't have a choice."
Tears started to form in my eyes. He couldn't possibly do this to his only daughter. All he always cared about was his company more than his own daughter.
"Maddie I know this is a shock but I want you to know that I'll always treat you with respect and keep you safe" Xavier got up from his chair and walked towards me to pull me into a hug.
And that's when all the tears I've been holding in came flooding out of my eyes.

All Luca could do that night is think about Maddie's words over and over again.
He couldn't believe that someone actually enjoyed spending time with him. For once he didn't have to be the ruthless leader. Who says that the leader of a mafia gang couldn't have love in their life.
He was deep in thoughts about her, when his phone started ringing....
~2:30 a.m.~
So he made his way to the convenience store and took a seat, waiting for Maddie.
As Maddie walked around the corner a little while later, Luca immediately got up to greet her.
It wasn't until a few seconds after he pulled her into a hug that he noticed her sniffling.
Pulling away from the hug, but still holding her he looked down at the short girl in front of him, seeing tears stream out of her puffy, red eyes.
"What is wrong? Maddie please don't cry" Luca pulled her into a hug once again, mainly to give comfort but he also didn't want to look into her puffy, red eyes again. He didn't know why, but it hurt him so much.
"I'm really sorry Luca. I just wanted to tell you that what I said yesterday is true, but we can't meet anymore"
Maddie had a hard time speaking, but he could make out her words. He felt weird. Almost as if a piece was being ripped out of his heart.
"Why?" that was all he could ask.
He felt Maddie shaking her head, then she pulled away, kissing his cheek softly.She turned around to go home, but this time it was Luca grabbing her hand.
"P-please don't" was all he said. While holding her hand,he felt the ring on her left hand ring finger.
"N-no" he said shaking his head.Then he released her hand.
He didn't notice a tear slipping out of his eye when Maddie turned around walking into the dark streets of Seoul.
