Chapter Seven

~Maddie~

It was the typical charity ball I was used to by now. Lot's of shaking hands, pretending to know and like people, and of course rich people interacting with each other, pretending to care about the rest of the world when in reality the only thing they care about is their reputation.

My father expected me to stay together with Xavier. It wasn't weird because that's how it usually went at every ball we attended. Xavier's father and my dad were colleagues, they grew up together.

And of course Xavier followed the footsteps of his own father and started working for my fathers company. For my dad he was the son that never ran away from him and to me he was a friend, always helping me and sticking up for me.

"Are you okay?" Luna approached me while Xavier was talking to some of his colleagues.

I quickly nodding as chugged down my glass of Whiskey, resulting in Luna shaking her head at me.

"Your dad is starting the announcement" Xavier whispered into my ear, stopping in his tracks right next to me.

Luna smiled at me and Xavier as she thought that we are a cute couple when we're together.

"Guys did you make it in safely?" Rios's voice could be heard over the earpiece.

"Yeah they let us through after giving the bribe not troubles" Zach's soft voice spoke excited about his first mission, checking his Glock 19 once more.

James as second in command took the moment of people paying attention to the earpiece to speak up with one last requirement.

"Whatever you do while going for Black Veil, don't hurt the company President's daughter, she's wearing a red dress" everyone wondered why James made such a requirement, but I didn't question it, neither did the other members.

Some of the younger members, like Tom and Daniel were checking the locations of the Black Veil members, while the other members unnoticed made their way to their positions in the dark.

The members were watching the scene in front of them from their different hiding spots. They could see everything going down, but it was hard to see them, aiming from their positions would be easy, but trying to get a good shot at them would be hard, very hard.

Then we saw how the company's president Mr. Frone took the stage, getting people's attention.

"First of all, I'd like to thank everyone coming to our annual charity ball. At the end of the ball I'll announce the amount of money that'll be donated". Mr.Frone said.

"But I'd like to make a very special announcement. Some of you probably already saw and talked to her, but my beloved daughter finally returned from the U.S." people were clapping and excited.

Then i saw Maddie in her a red dress, like James said, made her way to the stage with no other than Xavier, the leader of Black Veil.

"She finished her studies and is ready to take over my company" Mr.frone said as people were even more excited and clapping louder.

"But that is not the only announcement regarding this company and my daughter. She'll be taking over my company together with her fiancé, Xavier Braxton " people were going crazy now.

For Red Eagle everything was clear though, Black Veil was using the company and the company's president probably knows.

As soon that I heard the announcement, I could feel my anger started boiling inside my body.

"Aim your guns!" I pressed my earpiece, so the other member's at different locations could hear through the earpiece.

Maddie stood on stage looking at her father the whole time, not daring to look to the audience while Xavier was holding her waist securely, waving to the audience.

My anger getting higher and higher when i saw the way Xavier rest his hand on Maddie waist.

"I can't stand it anymore. I need to kill that bit*h for resting his hands on my girl". From the side of my eyes, i saw James looking at my way, but he just ignore because he knew how angry I am right.

And he know that i can't accept anyone who puts their hands on my girl.

Then i look at the stage again to see that Maddie finally turned her face towards the audience and brushed some of her hair out of her face.Then i immediately put my gun down.

At first I couldn't believe what I was seeing in front of me. The first girl i ever cared about, announcing her engagement with my biggest rival, Xavier Braxton.

~Thought~

Actually I knew Maddie since my childhood. Well she didn't know me because she used to go to the playground across the house I grew up in every now and then with her mother. When i was a little boy i'd watch her from the big kitchen window from my house, wondering how a girl can be as perfect as she was in my eyes.

And the first moment I saw Maddie smiling at her ice cream, I'd knew it was her.

I never wanted her to end up with someone like Xavier, but I knew that also means that she also shouldn't end up being together with someone like me.

Picking up my gun again, I then held my earpiece one more time, to make one thing clear.

"I'll be the one that gets to shoot Xavier" as i said to make the other heard my order.
