Chapter Fifteen

~Xavier~

"I can't track her phone or anything!" I was furious.

My bad feeling got even more intense when I saw the message Maddie's father sent me thia morning. When she didn't answer my call, I grew even more worried.

"She just needed to get out and get away from everything for a while and it's been only two days. She said it'll be a weekend trip. Besides we don't even know exactly where she and Luna went. Just calm down you're not benefiting the situation right now Xavier" said Mr.Frone.

To say that Maddie's father wasn't worried was an understatement. Indeed he was very worried. But he knew given the circumstances it was understandable that she needed to get out with her best friend. I just wanted her to be safe.

"What about him though?" I finally sat down in the big office in front of Maddie's father who was sitting on his office chair.

"You said you'll protect her forever if I agree. So you need to do everything to keep her safe" Mr.Frone said as he sip a glass of whiskey.

~Maddie~

"Okay Maddie. I get it. You must be so angry right now. But do you really need to do all of this?" Luna looked at me with a worried expression.

"Maddie you're acting so crazy are you sure you're alright?" She carefully started walking towards where I was standing.

The only sound that could be heard besides Luna talking to me was my phone ringing once again. I knew it was either James or Xavier.

Luna stopped walking towards me when she heard the splash.We were standing in front of a little pond in an almost empty park in Busan.

"Okay you're fucking crazy!" Luna ran her hand through her hair.
She came closer to the edge of the pond and we both stared at my phone that was now laying on the ground of the little pond.

"You're gonna tell me why you just drowned your new phone, checked every inch in our room, why you borrowed Jameson's car, paid everything in cash and we both had to use a fake ID and are wearing wigs?" Luna said to me feeling confused with my sudden reaction.

"I just want to get away from everything for a weekend to make a decision. He can't find me this way" i groaned.

~2:54 AM.~

It was Sunday morning when I returned Jameson's car after dropping Luna off.

I was sitting outside of the familiar convenience store, with ice cream in front of me. Sitting here alone made me feel lost.

I planned to make a decision this weekend. But I simply just couldn't. I already had agreed to marry Xavier. I worked so hard for the company. It was what everyone expected me to do. To be the perfect, successful daughter of Frone company.

"Maddie!" I turned my head to the left when I heard my name being called in the far distance. I saw two figures running up to where I was sitting.

Even though it was dark and they were still kind of far away I knew exactly who the voice belonged to and who was accompanying him. Xavier and Bill, who clearly was still struggling to walk fast, because his shot wound wasn't healed yet.

I pretended that I didn't hear anything or couldn't make out who it was and turned back to look at my ice-cream and started to eat.

My face probably lost all it's colour when a pair of feet walked into my view.

"It's now or never princess" Then I look up just to meet a pair of blue eyes looking at me. It's Luca. I can't believe he was standing next to me.

Luca held out his hand for me. It didn't take long for me to decide on what to do.I didn't want to do the expected. I was longing for Luca in every single way.

I took of the ring on my finger gently and laid it on the table next to my ice cream before I took his hand.
Flashing me a small smile he started running, pulling me behind him around the corner of the street.
He basically pushed me into the backseat of the parked car with him,that when a gun shot started to heard behind us.

"Fancy seeing you here Maddie" Samuel started the engine of the car while Leo flashed me with a small smile.

My heart was beating fast, but not only because of now I'm back with Luca. And I'm happy to be on Luca sides.

It was also beating fast because I knew that this time it's means war.
