CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

"I'll be back in a few hours" Luca and I were standing outside when he pressed a light kiss onto my lips.

"Eww disgusting"Hendry pushed past Luca and me, while Luca rolled his eyes.

"Here take this" Luca reached into his pocket and pulled out a phone.

"I forgot to give it to you yesterday. I already saved Luna's number" He put the phone into my back pocket of my Jeans before turning around.

He walked over to the car, where the other members were already waiting.
Before hopping onto the front seat he hit Hendry lightly on the head.

Walking back inside the house everything was quiet. The boys had a mission so I was left alone with Zach, who was laying in his bed still recovering from his injuries, and some of Red Eagle members.

I took out the phone and unlocked it. A selfie of Luca was set at the background picture.

The only contracts in there were all the Red Eagle members and Luna.

I clicked on her number and decided to send her a message in case she's still sleeping.

I went into the kitchen to prepare some food while waiting for Luna's reply. But nothing came.

"Zach, I brought you some breakfast" I knocked on Zach's door before entering his bedroom.

"Oh, thank you Maddie" he flashed a small smile as he started to sit up in bed.

I placed the plate with the food and glass with juice on his bedside table, before turning around to walk back downstairs.

"Maddie, I'm really sorry that I shot you last time" Zach didn't dare to look at me.

"It's okay. I'm fine now so don't worry about it. And I'm also sorry for what Xavier did to you" I walked back over to his bed, sitting down on the edge.
Zach looked up at me with a small smile.

"I expected Luca to kick me out after hurting the girl he loves. But he didn't. Then I expected him to kick me out when I opened the package, which could have also hurt you. He loves you so much, it's obvious. And I don't think I belong here" Zach looked back down at his lap, his smile fading.

"You do. Luca told me that every member is his responsibility. That includes you, Zach. He cares about you, he wouldn't even leave your side when you got hurt. He's just not good at showing his love for you guys but what matters is that he does love all of you. And I know that someday you will do great things for us, Zach. You just have to step out of your comfort zone"

I put my hand on Zach's shoulder, who put on a smile again.

"Thank you, Maddie"

I stayed with Zach who was eating his breakfast and telling me stories when my phone gave a small beep. I pulled the phone out of my pocket, looking at the screen.

I'm not okay I really need your help it's an emergency please meet me as soon as possible

I shoved the phone back into my pocket after re-read the message a few times.

I didn't notice that Zach has stopped talking.

"Maddie everything okay?"

"Zach, I need to see my best friend please don't tell anyone"

Zach quickly nodded.

"Of course we're friends now, your secret is safe with me. But just be careful and be back before dinner"

I broke one of the only rules I had: I left without someone to look over me and it was a big mistake.

I stepped into the bus at the first bus stop, hopping off at the other side of Seoul.

Walking down these familiar roads felt different. As if I don't belong here.
I wasn't scared of Xavier or anyone else seeing me. They'd be at work in their office. But the only thing that mattered at that moment was my best friend that needed my help.

When I arrived at Luna's street I saw her standing in her driveway in the distance together with Jameson, laughing.

I was about to call her name when a hand was covered my mouth, a tight grip around my neck pulled me backwards, not leaving me any strength to fight whoever it is.

"Don't say a word or I'll shoot you on the spot". The person said from my back.
