~Luca~

"Are you all ready?" James was wildly debating if he should tell his friend what he knew, I looked at the others one more time.

When I heard the "Red Eagle, gotta go" I smiled a little.

"Go get your guns boys" I shout at my boys.

~Maddie~

"Do we really need to announce it tonight?" it was the third time I asked my dad if we could postpone the announcement.

"It's a charity ball, where we are going to announce your return. There's no better day than today, stop asking" I could see that my dad hated asking me anything that questioned the wedding.

I turned on my heel, ready to leave my dad's office to put on my dress, my hair and make up were already done.

"Maddie?" I stopped in my tracks and turned around again at the sudden change of tone in my fathers voice.

"I just want you to know that I'm really proud of you. Your mom would be too" my father was never a man of nice words.

To hear him say something like this in a soft tone, I knew I'd never forget that moment.

"Thank you dad"

I knew that Xavier was already waiting downstairs with my dad, but I wasn't ready. Stepping out of my room meant going to the charity ball and announcing my engagement with Xavier.

However the only person I really didn't want to know anything about my engagement with Xavier is Luca.

Before i went out of my room, I looked at myself in the mirror for one more time. I looked good. You couldn't even see that I was balling my eyes out the past nights.

When i walk down the stairs, i saw Xavier standing together with my father.

"Woah you look breathtaking" Xavier offered me his arm as I went downstairs, I just nodded in reply. Xavier intertwined our fingers and together with my dad we walked to our driver.

Little did I know that this night is going to change my life, forever.
