~Maddie~

"Please don't" I begging my father once again.

Since the wedding planning got delayed, we were looking for a new wedding date. I didn't know that Xavier already moved the date forward though.

"Honey, you agreed to marry Xavier so you made a commitment" I looked down at my engagement ring.

The night I told Luca I couldn't meet him anymore started to played in my head over and over again.

"I did but, it's going so fast I'm not ready to get married yet" I didn't care if Xavier was in the room listening, he practically lived in our house now because the engagement was official.

He made it clear that he knows about Luca, but he isn't sure about me knowing about himself.

"Only family members, the closest friends and company partners will be invited, there's no need to make such a fuss out of it Maddie and now shut it please" my father pushed his reading glasses back on his face.

Then Xavier's assistant Jack entered the office, but I also didn't care about that. He knew anyways. Jack gave Xavier a look, to which Xavier just shook his head slightly.

"Maybe Maddie and I can take a weekend trip, so she can calm her nerves and get her mind off things. We can also enjoy our time as actual couple. I mean we're getting married anyways" my mouth open widely when i heard what he's talking about. Then Xavier walked closer to me and put his arm around my waist, a bright smile plastered on his face.

"Isn't that right, Maddie?" to everyone else it would've seen like a loving gesture of Xavier.

But he was threatening and trying to intimidate me. I knew that he meant getting my mind off Luca instead of 'things'.

"That's a lovely idea, Xavier" I faked a smile and nuzzled closer into Xavier chest.

~

Xavier excused us and we walked into his office. His smile was long gone and he was closing the blinds. I couldn't look at him the way I did before. It wasn't Xavier, the guy that I spent every second in this company with, it felt like a completely different person.

I didn't dare to turn and look at him. The feeling of his lips pressing softly against my exposed shoulder from two nights ago was still lingering on my skin.

"Something in the way you look has changed" I could hear his footsteps coming closer to me.

"But I don't know what, sweetheart" his hands were on my shoulders now.

"I just want you to know that I'd never hurt you, I'll just make him pay for trying to get what's already mine" pushing my hair and clothing to the side, while his lips made its way down to my wounded neck.

He placed soft kisses around the bandage, before turning me softly in his arms.

It didn't take long for his lips to find the corner of my mouth.

~

"Don't fight for it, be good for me just this once" was all he whispered before pressing his lips onto my mouth first softly, then rougher.

He deepened the kiss, his tongue made its way inside my mouth, while his hands explored my body.

His hands were resting on the back of my thigh, slowly moving upwards.

Eventually his hands found their way to my butt, moving my summer dress up a little, giving a light squeeze.

I put my hand on top of his, and moved it away from my butt. He noticed that it was going too fast for me and pulled apart, lust and love lingering in the air, while we both were having a hard time catching our breaths.

"I love you Maddie, with all my heart"

"I love you too Xavier"

~

"Hey Maddie" a smiling Jameson, whom I've known since kindergarten, opened the door eating an apple. He moved back to Hong Kong for his teenage years, but eventually came back.

"Remember the favour you owe me, for giving Caos your love letter in 3rd grade and getting detention for it?" Jameson nodded at my sudden question.

"I need your car" Jameson laugh filled my ears.

"Maddie why? My car is precious"

"Luna and I need to go somewhere, and can you not telling anyone that we have your car, got it? It's just for the weekend don't worry Jameson I'll be careful" Jameson looked at me, mouth wide open.

I was waiting for Jameson reply, I could see through his face that he is still thinking about it.

"Fine" Jameson got the keys out of his pocket and handed them to me.

"But please be careful with my lovely car!" Jameson shout as i went inside his car.

~

Luna and I were sitting in the car, already on the road away from Seoul.

"I'm so glad that you're okay!" Luna said for the millionth time from the passenger seat.

" By the way Maddie, where are we going though?" She ask me because i never mentioned the place we will headed to.

"Busan"

~Xavier~

Dinner was served.

"Where is Maddie?" Maddie's father turned towards my direction. I was staring at the door worryingly waiting for my beloved fiancé. After a few minutes, i started to have a bad feeling about Maddie.

"Probably at Luna's house, you know how girls are" I was just playing with my food.

"You think she knows?" I put my fork down and looked at the elder man who just shook his head.

"Not yet son" Mr.frone said.

~

Their dinner was interrupted, when the assistant of Maddie's father stepped into the dining room.

"Mr.Frone I'm sorry to interrupt the dinner b-but I have bad news" both me and Maddie's father put our silverware down.

"Xavier your assistant Jack was found dead"

~Luca~

I pressed my gun firmly at Jack temple.

"Now, tell me everything" with my free hand I held him pressed against the wall of an dark alleyway close to the Maddie's father company, and i chock him slightly.

My tight grip made it hard for Jack to speak. Then he opened his mouth but no words were coming out.

"I told you to fucking tell me everything you know!" I shout and removed my gun from Jack's temple, signing Hendry to come over.

Hendry of course knew what he was supposed to do. He kicked Jack into the stomach twice, leaving him coughing blood, before punching him in the face. A loud crack was heard. Jack was struggling more and more to breathe while swallowing his own blood.

"I-It's arranged, she won't inherit the company if she doesn't marry Xavier" it was hard to understand Jack who was basically spitting out blood while speaking. But I heard everything he needed to hear.

I once again moved my gun up to Jack's temple, my grip still tight on his neck.

"Please don't kill me" Jack begged on me.

It wasn't the first time I heard this sentence. I heard it almost every time. For me the sentence it's meaning a long time ago.

I removed my gun from Jack's temple and loosened the grip around Jack's neck.

Then I turned around and walked away from Jack, who was crouching on the floor, holding his throat and still having a hard time breathing, the pain in his dislocated jaw growing.

I almost was at the end of the alley, where James, Leo and Dean were waiting. But before I actually turning around, I aiming my gun and shot Jack straight in the head.
