Chapter 28

Time went by quickly as Yue Li's birthday is soon approaching.

Yue Li knew that if she invited Fu Heng through the phone he would not come, so she asked her parents to come along with her to the Fu's mansion. She really wants to show her brother Fu Heng that she really wants him to come to her birthday party.

Yue Li's parents didn't mind her request and came along with her to the Fu's mansion since both of their families were close. Besides, they knew that their daughter likes Fu Heng and they also like him as well since he's not only handsome, but he was also very smart. Having a smart man like Fu Heng to be their son in law is their greatest dream as they would not have to worry about their daughter's well being nor their company in the future.

Reaching the Fu's mansion, Liu Shi came to greet Yue Li and her parents.

"Welcome."

"Hello, auntie Liu Shi."

"Hello, ah Li. It's been a while since the last time I saw you. You have grown taller and become prettier."

"Auntie, you flatter me. I haven't seen you for a while and you still look so young just like before."

"Aiya..you're such a sweet girl. Well come inside. I already have them prepare dinner for us."

Inside the Fu's mansion, Yue Li and her parents along with the Fu family sat together eating dinner.

Since everyone was there, Yue Li then decided to bring up the topic about her birthday party, "I want to invite everyone to my birthday party this Friday night."

"Of course we would love to come, but unfortunately we got some business trip to attend on that day. Ah Ying and ah Heng will come in our stead."

"I'm busy." Fu Heng said in his usual cold voice. He really has no time for other people other than his lovely wife.

"Fu Heng, please come." Yue Li pleaded.

Just as her parents were about to plead Fu Heng to come, Fu Heng's mom was already one step ahead, "Ah Heng. Just take some time off and go to Yue Li's birthday party, alright?"

With no choice, Fu Heng hummed as an agreement that he'll go to Yue Li's birthday.

Yue Li couldn't help, but beamed upon hearing Fu Heng's agreement, "Thank you, auntie. Only brother, Fu Heng listens to you."

After dinner, Yue Li and her parents went back home.

Instead of going back to the dorm, Fu Ying and Fu Heng stay in their family home for the night.

Fu Heng was very busy with work which made him and Ming Yu barely have time for each other. Yet, Fu Heng makes Ming Yu stay in his dorm while he mostly stays at home.

Time went by very fast as today was Yue Li's birthday.

Ming Yu got up early and decided to go buy a present gift before going to her birthday party later. He didn't want to go, but then he had already promised the latter since he thought that his man would go to the party as they are childhood friends, yet who would think that his man is too busy to go, but still it was too late to back out now, thus he could only go alone.

Ming Yu didn't have much money on him, thus he decided to go buy something that is not too cheap nor too expensive. Since Fu Heng said that he wasn't going to the birthday party and besides he was very busy, Ming Yu went out to buy the birthday present himself. He took a bus which takes about 30 minutes to get to the store.

Getting to the store, Ming Yu didn't know what to buy for Yue Li since he has never given any woman a gift before. Besides he's not a woman, he really has no clue what they like.
