Chapter 42

After checking the security camera where the scene happened, the police catch the culprit that hit grandma Song. It was a middle aged man. He was found to be drunk driving, therefore the police had him arrested.

Grandma Song's funeral was held the following week.

Lan's uncle and aunt also show up at the funeral.

They told Lan to give grandma Song's house title to them, and they would take him to live with them, but Lan told them that he didn't know. Besides, he didn't want to live with them. They are bad people. They beat him up one time when grandma Song left him with them.

Yet, he didn't dare to tell grandma Song since they have threatened him that if he told grandma Song then they would beat him more.

"Daddy Yu, please don't abandon me." Lan said with his watery eyes.

He was afraid that his aunt and uncle would take him away from his daddy Yu.

"I won't." Ming Yu reassured him before he turned to face the uncle and aunt, "I won't leave him with you. I have already adopted him as my son. As for the title house, we don't know."

"You guys better stop and go away." Fu Heng said in a cold voice. How dared these low disgusted pests scared his future wife and son.

If they dare to touch a single hair of his future wife and son, he will make sure that those low disgusted pests disappear from the world quietly.

Seeing the handsome and scary figure, the uncle and aunt couldn't help, but shiver. Upon seeing the group of men following behind the handsome man, they knew that they couldn't dare to offend him, thus they both reluctantly went away.

"You must be Lan and Ming Yu, right?" A middle aged lady asked, approaching them.

"Yes. You are?"

"I am grandma Song's friend. She asked me to give you this." The middle aged lady said, passing a folder with a document inside to them.

Opening the folder document, Ming Yu was shocked to see the house title under his name, "This.."

"She was worried that Lan's uncle and aunt would try to take the house, thus she transferred it into your name just in case something happened to her."

"Thank you."

The funeral only lasts for one day.

During the whole time, Ming Yu and Lan didn't have any appetite at all.

Without Fu Heng and Yan Lu being there to help, Ming Yu didn't know what he and Lan would do.

Everything just happened too suddenly and unexpectedly, therefore it was really hard for Ming Yu to accept everything that happened.

"Thank you." Ming Yu said and bowed to the two.

Without waiting for the two to react, he went away with Lan. He felt very devastated at this moment. He really some time alone to calm himself.

Lan really wanted to cry knowing that his grandma is gone, but he didn't want to make his daddy Yu worry, thus he can only hold back his tears.

For his daddy Yu, he has to be strong.

Feeling the soft little hand holding his tightening, Ming Yu gave Lan a smile.

Lan also gives his daddy Yu a smile.

Fu Heng and Yan Lu really wanted to follow him, but they were worried that it would just cause more headache to Ming Yu though they suppressed themselves at the moment.
