Chapter 23

As much as Fu Heng wanted to see his lover, he went to Fu's company first thing in the morning after eating breakfast as there was paperwork that required his attention.

On the other hand, Fu Ying didn't follow her brother to the company, but instead she went back to the university since she had a morning class. After her morning class ended, she went to the canteen to meet up with Yue Li. She was surprised to see Li Na and Yue Li together.

Seeing Fu Ying, Yue Li wave at her. Li Na followed Yue Li's gaze and saw Fu Ying. She then pretends to be surprised upon seeing Fu Ying as if she didn't know that Fu Ying and Yue Li were friends.

"Hello, Fu Ying." Li Na said.

"Hello." Fu Ying didn't really like Li Na. She didn't understand how Li Na and Yue Li knew each other. It really makes her confused.

"You guys know each other?" Yue Li asked surprisingly upon hearing Li Na callled Fu Ying's name as she didn't think that the two would know each other since this is the first time that she saw them together.

"Mn. We have one class together." Li Na said.

Fu Ying nodded her head as an agreement. Honestly, she wouldn't recognize Li Na at all even if they have a class together if not for the fact that Li Na kept coming up to her asking if they can hang out together. It was very annoying to her.

"That great then. Li Na this is Fu Ying, my childhood friend. Fu Ying, this is Li Na, she is my new friend. She doesn't have many friends, thus I want to introduce her to you, but who knows that you guys already know each other."

"Fu Ying, if you don't mind, I would love to be your friend." Li Na asked.

"Of course not." Even though she didn't really like her much, Fu Ying didn't want to be rude. Since she was Yue Li's friend, she can only agree to it.

"That's great then."

"Mn."

Li Na smirk inside. Now that her first step has been a success, she couldn't wait to do the next one.

The group of three continue to chat happily to learn more about the other person. And of course, Li Na made up many things to lie in front of Fu Ying and Yue Li. To gain their trust and sympathy, Li Na even fake her sobbing when talking about her poverty life.

After their conversation ended, they all went their separate ways.

Fu Ying happened to meet Ming Yu in the hallway.

"Ming Yu." Fu Ying called out to him happily. She didn't know why she felt very happy seeing Ming Yu. It was as if they were fated in some way to be close.

"Fu Ying."

"Are you going to class?"

"Mn."

"That...um...Ming Yu do you have a girlfriend?"

Ming Yu blushed upon hearing the question.

Of course not, because I have a boyfriend. And my boyfriend is your brother.

"No." Ming Yu replied without knowing the other person's intention of asking him. He thought that Fu Ying was only asking for fun.

"Really?" Fu Ying asked with doubt. He thought that someone like Ming Yu would probably have a girlfriend already. With such a cute look, who wouldn't want a boyfriend like him?

"Mn." Ming Yu confirms.

"That's great." Fu Ying smiled brightly.

She couldn't believe it. She thought that her mighty brother was being serious about Ming Yu having a lover already when he said that Ming Yu belongs to someone else already. It turns out that he was lying to her. Humph! She really can't understand why her brother lies to her. Aren't they friends? Wouldn't her brother be happy to have such a in law as cute as Ming Yu?

"Huh?" Ming Yu asked not understanding her. Is having a boyfriend really better than a girlfriend?

Fu Ying ignored Ming Yu's confusing look as she said, "Ming Yu...that..I..I..I like you."

Fu Ying quickly ran away without waiting for Ming Yu to react after saying her confession. It was the first time in her life that she has ever confessed to someone.

Ming Yu didn't know that Fu Ying liked him and wasn't expecting any confession coming from her, thus he was really shocked when the latter suddenly confessed to him which made him rooted on the spot for a while.

After staying in the same position for almost 2 minutes, only then did Ming Yu come back to his senses. He then went upstairs heading to his class. He was still a bit absent minded since he really didn't expect that Fu Ying would like him. With an unfocused mind, Ming Yu unexpected bump into someone.

The person that Ming Yu bumped into was pissed off at whoever bumped into her. She knew that it was not her friends in the name only since they left earlier than her.

Just as she was about to yell at the person that had bumped into her, she abruptly stopped herself when she saw other people coming near them and didn't want to expose her true color. She got up and gave Ming Yu a deadly glare before she walked away.

Just as Ming Yu was about to apologize to the latter, but upon seeing a familiar yet unfamiliar face makes Ming Yu stunned and rooted on the spot. He for some reason couldn't bring himself to apologize to the other person upon seeing the latter's face.

Looking at the figure that he had bumped into going further and further until it disappeared from his sight, Ming Yu couldn't help, but have an uneasy feeling rousing up.

"Li Na?" Ming Yu said in a low whisper.

Is she really Li Na?
