Chapter 39

Grandma Song felt very sorry and grateful toward Ming Yu. She knew that it was not fair for him, yet she really has no one who she could entrust Lan to, thus she could only beg Ming Yu since Lan has grown attached to him. Besides, she could tell that Ming Yu is a good person and that he loves Lan a lot.

Importantly, she was worried that once she is gone as she is getting older and older each day, it would be hard for Ming Yu to take over Lan since he has no relationship to Lan in which Lan would most likely be handed over to his aunt and uncle. They would most likely treat Lan very badly.

Ming Yu and grandma Song decided to get all the paperwork done first thing in the morning.

Grandma Song is getting older and older each day. She doesn't know how much longer she will have left, thus it is best to get everything processed just in case things happen to her then Ming Yu would be able to take care of Lan after she's gone.

Grandma Song was Lan's guardian and she agreed to let Ming Yu adopt Lan, thus the process went very smoothly.

Grandma Song has also transferred her house title to Ming Yu without him knowing just in case something happens to her. She was not rich, so she could not give anything valuable to him and could only give her house to him.

Unbeknown to grandma Song, but entrusting Lan to him was the greatest gift she had given to Ming Yu.

After settling all the paperwork, Ming Yu went back to the dorm after bidding goodbye to grandma Song and Lan.

On his way to the dorm, he met Fu Heng in the hall. He then pretends not to see the latter and just walks past him as if they were just strangers. He can't really control his heart if he stays any longer.

Fu Heng had no idea of what happened yesterday in the canteen since no one told him about it.

Seeing how paled Ming Yu was, he was really worried and wanted to talk to him, but he knew that the latter might not want to talk to him.

Being so near to each other, yet couldn't say anything makes him feel this indescribable pain inside.

Fu Heng went back to the Fu company after he packed his stuff from the dormitory. Since the semester is coming to an end and he will be graduating soon, Fu Heng didn't need to stay at the dorm anymore.

Getting to his office, Fu Heng's cell phone suddenly vibrates. Seeing an unknown number messaging him something, Fu Heng didn't bother about it.

Just as he was about to block the number, he saw a video being sent to him.

Fu Heng couldn't help but was curious, thus he opened the video to see what was being sent to him.

The video shows the whole scene of what happened in the canteen with the exception that it didn't show the part where Ming Yu came to warn Yue Li about Li Na.

The video started off with Yue Li pouring the milk into Ming Yu's head until the end where he fainted.

Fu Heng was beyond furious upon seeing the video. He subconsciously clenches his hand tightly. He can feel the pain in his chest upon seeing how Ming Yu was being treated that way by those pests. He also regretted so much that he had slapped his ah Yu's face, but he knew that if he didn't then Yue Li wouldn't let Ming Yu off that easily. It was not that he was afraid of her, but he just didn't want her to cause trouble for Ming Yu.

Remember Ming Yu's crying face, Fu Heng suddenly felt so much pain in his chest as if someone had stabbed a sharp poisoning dagger into his chest.

Upon seeing the scene where Ming Yu fainted in the video and no one came forward to help, he was beyond furious that all he wanted to do at this moment is to kill all of those bystander pests.

"Call Fu Ying to my office." Fu Heng pressed the phone caller to call his secretary.

"Yes, boss."

It didn't take long before Fu Ying came into his office. Fu Ying can feel the atmosphere seem to be somewhat off.

"Why didn't you tell me about what happened to Ming Yu yesterday?" Fu Heng asked in a cold voice. How dare his sister to hide something important like this from him, especially when it involves his ah Yu.

"He told me not to." Fu Ying can sense that his brother is in a very bad mood.

With a sigh Fu Heng asked, "Is he alright?"

"He's fine. The nurse says that he probably faint due to exhaustion."

Exhaustion? It was clearly those pests' fault for being so noisy.

"Thank you."

"Huh?" Fu Ying was stunned dumbfounded as never before did her mighty brother ever thank her, thus she wasn't sure if she had heard it right or not.

"I'll have manager Lee take over two of your current projects."

"Really?"

"Mn."

"Thank you."

Ah, so Ming Yu is your weakness. Hahaha, I should have known that from the beginning, then I wouldn't have to suffer this much.

Afterward, Fu Heng went to find Yue Li. He couldn't just stand and let her treat Ming Yu that way. This time she has crossed her boundary.

Yue Li was happy upon seeing Fu Heng. Her parents were not home as they are currently on a business trip, so seeing Fu Heng she knew that he must come to look for her.

"Fu..." Yue Li didn't get to finish her word when Fu Heng lifted his hand and gave her a hard slap on the face leaving his hand print on her face.

If not for the fact that they grew up together, Fu Heng would not hesitate to kill her for hurting his baby.

Tears burst out from her eyes immediately from that harsh slap from Fu Heng.

"Don't let me see what happens in the canteen again, or else don't say that I didn't warn you. I only let you off this time because we grew up together."

Before Yue Li could respond back, Fu Heng had already gone away driving off.

Reaching the Fu's mansion, Fu Heng dial a number that he rarely calls.

Before the other line could say anything, Fu Heng had already given out his order, "Check something for me."

After giving his instruction, Fu Heng went to his room to take a bath and rest. He had been up lately, thus he rarely had time to rest. He misses Ming Yu a lot to the point that he couldn't sleep well at all these days.

Fu Heng hated himself so much for letting his jealousy and anger take over and didn't believe Ming Yu at that time.

Ah Yu, I miss you.
