Chapter 9 ~ Beach time

I was all sweaty. I went into the kitchen to get me some water and Levi was still in the same place. I shook my head. "Levi, you need to get up and get dressed. I'm going to take a shower and then we can leave". He shook his head but didn't get up. I took the chair beside him and sat down. "Levi, you need to get over her. I know it was 3 years but look at yourself. Just please do something to get her out of your head". He sighed and nodded again. He got up and went upstairs. I smiled and went to grab my clothes and head to the shower.

I got out and put on my blue jean shorts, with a hot pink Hollister shirt, and some white gladiators. I'll let my hair dry naturally. I went into the kitchen because I know Levi would be there. I was right he was but, he did as I said and got ready. "Levi I'm ready. So where are we going"? "You'll found out". He grabbed my hand and I didn't expect it but I didn't let go. We got into his grey 2013 convertible Corvette. He let the top down since it was warm outside. When we started driving my hair flew all over the place. I started to laugh because it was every where. I didn't know where we we're going so I just decided to watch whatever passed by. I was too busy admiring how beautiful the sky was that I didn't know where we were.

"We're here" Levi said. I looked and noticed we're at the beach. I love the beach! But why here? "Levi may I ask you something"? He nodded for me to go on. "Why the beach?" "I go here because I usually sit in the sand and watch the waves. It clears my mind." Oh okay explains a lot. I gave him the look that said 'oh'. He grabbed my hand again and lead me to the boardwalk. Why does he keep grabbing my hand? He took me into a beach store. We were still holding hands but, I didn't want to let go for some reason. "Pick a out a bathing suit!" I picked out a bright yellow bikini with the word 'Roxy' written on the butt in black letters. "I see you like bright colors!" He laughed. "Yes I do! How did you know?!" I joked. He shook his head and paid for my bathing suit and a beach bag. I went into the changing room and changed. I put my clothes in bag and came out to see Levi already changed. Geez I change for a long time!

We headed to the beach. I dropped the bag and ran into the water. I heard that Levi was behind me but I didn't expect him to grab my waist and put me over his shoulder. "Levi put me down! How many boys have to do this to me?!" "If you say so Nikki". I thought he was going to put me down but NO! He threw me! I felt the cool water hit me. I stayed under for a few seconds. I shot up and took a deep breath in. I didn't even notice that Levi was gone. I was about to call for him until someone put their hands on my shoulders and yelled "BOO!" I screamed really loud. "Levi you scared me you big idiot! Don't do that!" He laughed his face off. I decided I would get out of the water and sun tan.

Levi joined me and I laid there with my glasses on to block the sun. I closed my eyes but felt there was no sun on my face. I opened my eyes to see a random guy looking at me. He had brown hair and brown eyes to match. "Um hello"? I asked. Levi turned around and his smile turned into a frown. "Hi. You're beautiful! My name is Dylan. I was wondering why a pretty girl like you would be hanging out with one of the Smith boys?" He gritted through his teeth. "Nice to meet you. My name is Nikki and I live with them. Is there a problem"? I asked raising my eyebrows. This 'Dylan' guy and Levi were glaring at each other. Dylan was frowning but when he looked at me he smiled. "No darling, there isn't a problem. Here is my number text me sometime". He gave me his number, winked, and walked off. I turned to Levi and looked at him confused. "It's nothing. Just stay away from him. He is nothing but trouble". He stared at the ocean for a minute. "We should get going". I nodded and we got our things. When we got home we stayed in the car. "Well thank you Nikki for helping me today"! "You're welcome Levi"! We just looked at each other and the next thing I knew Levi's soft lips were on mine. And I started to kiss him back. And when we we're kissing I felt a tingling sensation on my lips.
