Where's my Alpha? (GirlxGirl)

Evans POV~~~~~~~~~ 

"Dad" I peered into my dad's office trying to find where he was. "Hey Elizabeth, do you know where Alpha Devon is?"

The red headed girl behind me in the hallway shrugged then smiled "No, but why don't you come with me for a while and forget your struggles?" She put her arm on my shoulder flirtatiously.

"Ugh.. not right now Elizabeth." Or ever. Sometimes girls in my pack were no better than dogs in heat. The way they got anyone to like them was beyond me. I was known as a rogue but that was only with sweet human females and not evil were-girls. 

"Well you know where to find me if you just want to forget the world." She smiled and backed away into the shadows. Sometimes, being the Alpha's son sucked. You had to put up with this kind of stuff and be polite. I just wanted to slap her but no, I had to take it like a man. Speaking of taking it like a man, I had to find my father because something was going down that I really, really didn't like. Know that were-girl I was talking about a second ago? No, not Elizabeth, the other one. The one that never acted like a dog in heat. Her name is Riya. My dad the Alpha wants me to mate with her. Just thinking about it now made me furious. I trudged down the hallway my footsteps echoing.

It wasn't even that I didn't like her, it was just that I didn't want her forced on me. Kind of like all the other girls in my pack or other packs trying to force themselves on me. I have issues. Can you tell?

"DAD!" I shouted. "DAD? WE NEED TO TALK!!!" Eyes ablaze, I stomped upstairs to where his room was. 

I couldn't believe I couldn't find him. Then again, he was a lazy S.O.B. He was everywhere when you didn't want him and nowhere to be found when you really needed him. Kind of just like now.

Reaching the door, I burst into his bedroom not caring what I interrupted. "DAD!"

Alpha Devon was up like a shot. "What do you want? I'm trying to sleep after last night!"

Last night he was screwing around with our female receptionist. Of course he was tired. I was so glad that he didn't have a mate because I might have to kill him. 

"Why would you just go ahead and make a deal that affects my entire future without telling me???"

His blue eyes stared at me evenly, "You know that I want to retire soon. Just like Alpha Jack. It's the perfect exchange! You and Riya mate and we can merge our tribes creating peace between us and all our allies and both Alpha Jack and I can retire!"

"I just don't necessarily want to mate with Riya....."

"She's a nice were-girl and I guarantee you couldn't do better. Hopefully she would even give me grand-were wolves."

"D-DAD?!?!?" I mentally was face palming. I should have just expected something like this. 

"What? It's true. I just want the best for you and for me."

"Don't I know it..." I muttered under my breath. Whatever was best for 'us' was typically just best for him and his status. I think being Alpha had gone to his head. 

"What?" He peered at me with tired eyes. 

"Nothing. Nothing at all." I shoved my hands through my hair getting more and more frustrated. How could he not understand? And yet he made me feel guilty as if I were the bad guy here. Grrrr.

"At least give me some time?" I pled with him. Maybe if I could find another solution I wouldn't have to mate with her. "I don't want to rush into something like this!"

Alpha Devon looked pleased as if he had actually managed to convince me. "Good! I'm glad we have that little thing settled. Just don't wait to long or I'll tell them 'yes' without your permission."

I inwardly seethed at his selfishness but if I wanted any time at all I had to go with what he said. "Alright give me three weeks. Mex. I promise I'll be ready then." Ready to do what, I didn't know but hopefully it didn't involve mating Riya. I didn't have anything against her, I just did not want a mate just yet.
