Jayden's day continues with more anger over the little things. When they are in first period, math, Isaiah answers a question correctly.
That ticks Jayden off. Every. Single. Thing.
In their second class, science, Isaiah does this thing that drives Jayden mad. They are working with their partners. Isaiah is working with some guy, David. And Jayden is working with this girl, Sabrina.
Well, while taking notes over the experiment he keeps nibbling on the end of his pencil to help him focus. This practically makes Jayden go insane.
They sit next to each other in English. It's almost impossible for Jayden to focus. He even notices some of the looks Isaiah gives Noah and Sam. These looks are happy for the most part, a tinge of annoyance seems to come through them.
That is odd. Isaiah may not smile a lot at school, but his looks tend to be blank, or these cute focused looks. Seeing him slightly annoyed is surprising.
Throughout the class periods before lunch, Jayden passes Isaiah in the halls. Isaiah flashes him a smile. And then everyone around exchange odd looks. He doesn't care about the people talking. He doesn't blame them, though. Jayden is a punk, and Isaiah is known as the highest kid in intelligence in most of his classes.
It's the smiles. They are so bright, perfect. God, he may need to be taken to a psychiatric hospital if Isaiah keeps it up.
During lunch, Isaiah doesn't say much. He listens to everyone else. Noah starts ranting about something a classmate did that was obnoxious. Jayden isn't listening. During Noah's whole rant, Isaiah listens, and nods.
Leah talks about some girl drama, which interests almost no one. But Isaiah just nods along.
Even his patience is making Jayden lose his mind.

Joanna is walking through the halls and she keeps noticing something really cute. Isaiah always tells her how Jayden hates him. But that doesn't seem true today. The two of them will walk to a class together and Isaiah will maybe smile, do honestly anything, and then Jayden's face will flush.
It looks like her brother's crush who considers him an 'enemy' may be changing his mind about him.
She wonders if she should tell her brother. But knows that this is a type of relationship that will happen over time. Jayden won't tell her anything about his feelings if she intervenes.
So, she only watches with a smile, wondering how her elder brother can be so wise about other people's relationships. But one between him and Jayden is happening without him even noticing.

Jayden's day continues to drag on. It frustrates him.
Isaiah doesn't even realize how mad he makes him. He keeps hoping he'd noticed and would just stop.
Jayden keeps telling himself that it's intentional and that he's not gaining feelings for him. He's naive like every other 17 year old boy would be if he was sure he was straight, then boom, he starts gaining feelings for a guy. It's confusing. It's scary. Jayden feels overwhelmed and like his feelings may drown him. He loses air slowly, and slowly. Until one day, he has no more air. What happens then?
Jayden forces himself not to think about it. Not to think about Isaiah.
It's harder than he thought.

'Finally, it's over,' Jayden thinks as the bell rings. This whole day has been stressful.
He speeds out of the room, but Isaiah catches up to him.
'Dang it! Why does he have to do crap like this?' Jayden wants to speed up. But he can't. Well, actually he just doesn't want to. Being around Isaiah pisses him off but also satisfies hims. It's weird.

Jayden gets outside, only to see Isaiah sitting, probably waiting for his sister. He mentioned it at some point during a conversation a couple days ago.
He doesn't have to be home early or anything, and from what he knows, Noah and Sam left together for their date. Plus, he doesn't see Leah. So, he gains the courage and just sits next to him.
Isaiah looks surprised. He doesn't blame him. Jayden hasn't exactly made an effort and has constantly been harsh.
They don't say anything, just sit there. Jayden decides to start a conversation.
"Are you waiting for your sister?" Jayden ask. It was an awkward question, but he's trying.
Isaiah replies, "Yeah, her name is Joanna," He pauses for a second, thinking something over. "How did you know that anyway?"
"You brought it up in a conversation a couple days ago," He mumbles an answer.
"Oh. I'm surprised you remembered that," Isaiah laughs.
'Stop laughing! Oh my god, he'll be the death of me,' Jayden thinks to himself.
Joanna appears a couple minutes later. She seems surprised to see Jayden here. He recognizes her, he's passed her in the halls a couple times, which makes sense. Her arrival was an excuse for Jayden to leave. He wants to redo their conversation. It was so dorky.
"I should be going," Jayden states to the both of them. Isaiah smiles and waves. Joanna just smirks. He wonders to himself what she was smirking at.

Jayden gets home. His mom is in the kitchen making a snack for her son. Carly is a stay at home mom, since their dad makes enough money to support the family. He's a doctor. Her red hair falls in her eyes. She looks up at the sound of the door, her blue eyes practically reading her son's mood.
"Bad day, huh?" She questions.
Jayden tries to play it off, "What makes you say that?"
Carly starts, "You're slouching, normally you stand straight. Your hair is messier than usual. Your clothes are all wrinkled. And you look upset."
"Yeah, I guess so."
"Want to talk about it?" Carly looks at him. She never forces him to talk about it. She offers, but if he says he isn't comfortable at the moment, she waits.
Jayden shakes his head, "Not really. By the way, I'm not really hungry."
Carly nods. Something is up. But he needs space. She understands that.
Jayden throws himself onto his bed and ponders almost everything. Today sucks.
