Isaiah and Joanna walk over to the kitchen and take a seat at the table next to each other. Beatrice and Matthew sit down as well. Matthew is across from Isaiah, like he would be during any meal.

"What's going on?" Joanna finally speaks.

Matthew stops forcing a smile, instead he bangs a balled-up fist on the table. "Your older brother is in a lot of trouble. Isn't that right, Beatrice?"

Beatrice nods, tears slipping down her face. She looks at Isaiah, her eyes filled with confusion and fear.

"Today, at work, one of my co-workers comes up to me. Claiming she had something important to show me. She handed me her phone and on the screen was a 10-minute video of you, Isaiah, and Jayden," He laughs, psychotically. "I thought, what is this? I watched that video and in it, you said quite a lot of interesting things." He pulls out his laptop and sets on the table for Beatrice and Joanna to watch. Neither of them had watched the video.

They watch the video in silence, Beatrice hasn't heard really anything about the video from her husband. Joanna has heard a bunch of things from her brother. Beatrice watches, in shock. She's not angry, though. Joanna hasn't seen the actual fight, so she watches with some interest about what actually went down.

The video finishes, and Isaiah is mortified. Beatrice looks at Matthew then at Isaiah, clearly worried about Isaiah's safety.

"So... Isaiah, let me get this straight. You're gay, you think your life isn't good at home because of me, and you're in love with the boy I told you to help be a nice, young man. Right?" Isaiah doesn't say anything.

"Do you realize how furious I was that my co-workers found out that I have a gay freak in my family? I don't see why you can't own up to expectations like other normal boys.

"Is that why you went to a party? Is that why the hoodie you were wearing wasn't familiar to me? Is that why Jayden seemed anxious on Sunday? Is that why I didn't see him in our house or hear about Jayden from you for a couple of days? Is that why he defended you yesterday? Don't tell me that you and Jayden are in a relationship now."

Isaiah shakes his head. "No, we're not."

"Good. But that doesn't fix the fact that you've ruined the perfect image we have set! It's so embarrassing to be a pastor that everyone looks up to, and have a video of your son saying that he's in love with another boy all over the internet. You've never been perfect, always making mistakes. But just last week, you were the closest thing I ever had to perfect! Over that week I told you to help him! Were you thinking about him in a romantic way when I asked that of you? Tell me how long you've loved him!"

Isaiah can't meet his dad's eyes as he mumbles, "I don't know," Isaiah doesn't know how long he's felt this way about Jayden. Maybe it's been for the 4 years that he thought Jayden was cute. Or maybe it's been over that week they were forced to spend time together. He doesn't know.

Matthew's eyes widen in rage and he walks around the table, closer to Isaiah, causing Isaiah to get out of his seat and back away. "You don't know? Why? Why would you do this to me? Do you realize how much I do for you? Now my reputation is ruined! Now when we go to church, people will make faces and whisper about us! You're an idiot! You're useless!"

Matthew shoves Isaiah to the floor. He grabs a knife and starts making small cuts across his son's body. He beats him hard, harder than before. Joanna grabs her phone and calls 911.

"911, what's your emergency?"

"My dad is beating my brother! We live on Elk Street, house 194! Please hurry!"

"We have people on their way, ma'am. Could you stay on the phone?"

"Yeah," she goes quiet and then shrieks, "Oh my god!"

"Ma'am? What's happening now?"

"He's strangling him!" Joanna drops her phone on the table as she and her mom pull Matthew away from Isaiah.

But he pushes them off and continues to beat him, no longer strangling him.

"Ma'am? Are you there?"

"Yeah, I'm here. He stopped strangling my brother and is continuing to beat him. My mom is trying to stop him."

"Okay, well, you're doing your part by staying on the phone."

She stays on the phone with the 911 operator. Reporting how Isaiah is doing and what things Matthew is doing to her brother. When things get too severe, she drops the phone and rushes over to help.

Sirens can be heard before too long. Police bust down their door and run in. The cops grab Matthew and pull him off of Isaiah. "Sir, you have the right to remain silent," They put cuffs on him. Isaiah sits up, leaning against a cabinet.

Matthew glares at Isaiah, "They can take me away all they want, but you know that you'll never forget about me!"

Isaiah looks away from the scene, instead he looks at the ground. Nurses come over.

"Sir, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I think so. Nothing too severe," Isaiah replies. Nurses take him over to a chair and they look at all of his injuries. Verifying if he needs to be hospitalized or not.

Meanwhile, Joanna and Beatrice talk to a cop. Telling the cops all of their names. They explain that Matthew has done this before. They were too scared to tell the cops until today, when it got too severe.

The cops take off and the nurses agree that Isaiah should be fine with good care at home.

Beatrice and Joanna come over to Isaiah and hug him as they all cry.
