VICE's POV
People say "World's unfair." But its really not the world whose unfair, It is the people who's living on it. Para sakin, world is not unfair. But i've once said that. When, my mom passed away, I also thought of that. Bakit ba naman kasi sa dinami-dami ng tao sa mundo, ang mama ko pa? My dad? Well he left us for another girl. I neither dont have any siblings with me. Its really just me alone.

flashback
(warnings: there are some changes in this flashback part but i didnt really changed much as I wanted to keep it this way so that maging clear lang yung back story nung character from the very start)

I got home from school, may dala akong turon para kay mama. Alam ko kasing paborito niya ito. Kaya tumungo ako ng kusina para hanapin si mama. Kung hindi siya naglalako sa labas o kaya naman ay nagtitinda ng isda sa palengke ay dito siya madalas nakatambay. Pumunta ako sa kusina na hindi nakita ni anino ng nanay ko don. San nanaman ba kaya pumunta 'yon? Malamang naglalako nanaman sya sa labas. Si mama talaga, sinabihan ko ng wag mag tinda sa labas kasi baka atakihin nanaman siya. Di talaga siya nakikinig sakin. Umupo muna ako saglit sa upuan at uminom ng tubig, habang inaantay si mama ay gumawa nalang ako ng homework. Saktong pagkatapos ko sa aking homework ay dunating na si mama.
"Mama! San nanaman po ba kayo galing? Diba sinabi ko na po sainyo na wag na kayong maglako sa labas? Ikapapahamak nyo lang po yan eh." Bungad ko sa aking nanay. Umubo naman ito at hinawakan ang kanyang dibdib.
"Ayos lang ako anak. Ikaw talaga, napaka oa mo," patawang saad nito. Umubo ulit ito pero mas malakas kesa sa kanina. Napatayo ako sa aking kinauupuan.
"Ma? Okay lang po ba kayo?" Tanong ko at lumapit kay mama. Umubo na ito ng umubo ng malakas. Napatingin ako sa kamay na inubuhan niya, which was now covered with blood.
"Ma?? Mama, ano pong nangyayari sainyo?" I asked with such shaky voice. Di ko alam kung anong gagawin ko, kung itatakbo ko ba si mama sa ospital o pagpahingahin ko muna sya dito sa bahay. Hanggang sa bumagsak nalang ito at nahimatay. Sinugod ko kagad si mama sa ospital.

"Sorry. We did everything. She's too late." The doctor stated.
"Time of death, 6:40pm." I shake my head, tears escaping my eyes. No! This can't be!
"MaMa!" I whisper shouted still holding my mom's hand.
end of flasback

Dahil don ay napilitan akong tumigil sa pagaaral. And that is when I started finding a job for myself and my living. Nakakahiya na nga kase tatlong buwan na akong di nakakapag bayad ng upa. Galit na rin sakin ang landlady ko. Halos every week ata sinisingil niya ako ng pangbayad sa upa. Wala akong maibigay kase wala akong pera at wala pa akong nahahanap na trabaho. As from today foreward, I decided to find atleast a stable job to find my needs. Natigil ako sa pagmumuni-muni ng biglang may kumabog ng pinto.

"Hoy Vice! Yawa! open the freakin door!" Sigaw nito sa labas. Iritado kong binuksan ang pinto.

"Argh what is it again?" I asked with my voice laced in annoyance.

"So fucking pikonin." she sassed, rolling her eyes. And ofcourse, im rolling my eyes at her too.

"What do you want? Just go straight to the point." I said, really getting annoyed.

"I just a got a stable job for you!" She exclaimed as I raised my eyebrows at her.

"What job?"

"Mr. Perez's maid." she simply informed.

"Would it be worth it?" I asked, still raising my brows.

"I guess so." she shrugged

"Why the fuck wont you let me in?" she annoyingly asked and pushed me out her way to get in the small house.

"Fyi, Mr. Perez is a billionare. You might or might not be paid atleast 60k a month or a week." She furthermore informed.

"But I heard, he's the cold and perfectionist type of guy."

"How does that affects my job, anyway?" I confusedly asked.

"I have no single fucking idea. Why dont you find it out yourself, huh?"

"Taray." I murmured and rolled my eyes at her.

|The next day...

"Why the fuck are you so nervous?" Karyll asked

"How am i supposed to be not?!" I whisper shouted as I tried to compose myself again.

"Can you atleast calm the fuck down?"

"You know, you're not helping at all." I said and glared at her. She chuckled as she soon shrugged.

"I dont need your opinion. Thanks." She sarcastically said and faked a smile.

A few more minutes of me trying to calm myself down as I get ready for work, then I soon arrived at the said house where I would be working.

Wow! The mansion itself is really big! Just from the gates, the garden that you can see through outside because of the gates. It was so freakin big!

I didnt noticed I was staring at the house too long until someone opened it.

"Hello miss! Are you the one who'll be working here?" A mid 50 aged maid asked me. I nodded and smiled.

"Opo."

"Aba hija, masyado ka naman atang maganda para maging kasambahay rito." Nakangiting saad nito.

"Oh thank you." I said and laughed.

"Come inside!" She said then linked her arms to mine.

"Is this job worthy?" I asked with curiosity.

"It still depends on you," I nodded and smiled

mi sa loob ay kagad kong nakita ang amo ko. Wow! Ang pogi niya pala! At ang ganda ng loob ng bahay. Kung maganda sa labas, triple ang ganda dito sa loob.
"Yan na ba ang bagong kasambahay manang?" Walang galang na tanong ng amo ko. Wow! Ang yaman nga nya, okay gwapo rin pero wala naman galang. Ang bastos!
"Opo sir." Sagot ni manang
"Hi sir—" pinutol ako nito at tinaas ang kanyang kanang kamay.
"Wala akong pakelam sa pangalan mo. Ang gusto ko lang ay pagsilbihan mo ako. Kaya suotin muna ang uniporme mo at simulan ang paglilinis dito." Mataray na saad nito at nilisan na kami dun.
