Chapter 26

"Jen, wake up." Josh shakes my shoulder as I slept in the green room at the Tonight Show.

I groaned, going to sit in the makeup chair. I fell back asleep as they worked on my hair and makeup, and was woken when Sam loudly burst into the room with Liam and Jena beside him.

"Wake up Jen! We're at the Tonight Show!" He shouted, shaking my shoulders.

"And you're the first one out." Josh added, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Jennifer, you're almost on." A stage hand said, coming in the room.

"You're all gonna sit on the side of the stage to make me less nervous. Let's go." I pulled them out to the side of the stage and they all sat down.

"And here we have, Mrs. Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer Lawrence!" I walked out, trying not to trip and sat in front of Jimmy. "Hello Jennifer."

"Hey Jimmy."

"How are you?"

"Good, actually, I'm exhausted." I said, laughing to myself.

"And why is that?" Jimmy asked, already laughing.

"Well, me, Josh, Liam, Sam, and Jena were all hanging out last night after we got home from Hawaii, and we stayed up the entire night watching movies. That's pretty much how my life has gone for a while." I shrugged.

"That's interesting." He said sarcastically, "so how has filming going? You did just say you got back from Hawaii."

"Ya, obviously, we finished the first movie. And we finished Catching Fire a month or two ago. So that should be out in a few months. Then we start Mockingjay." I said happily.

"And how are things with you and Josh?" Jimmy did some creepy eyebrow wiggle that made me burst out laughing.

"We're good, really good." I smiled, secretly twisting my engagement ring.

"Awesome. I love you too together."

"Aww, thanks." I blushed, grinning.

"Alright, so I have a game for us to play, if you will join me." I followed him onto the other floor and sat down.

He began to tell me and the audience the rules to a game called Box of Lies and we started playing, and it was really fun. I wound up winning, and was really excited.

"When we come back, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth will be joining us. As well as Sam Claflin and Jena Malone from Catching Fire. Don't go anywhere."

Once cameras were off, I ran back to where everyone was and hugged Josh. "Oh my god, I was so nervous."

"It didn't show, well, not to me at least." Josh said, making me feel better.

I started talking with the others, when Josh suddenly pulled me into the hallway. "Do you want to tell everyone?" He asked.

"Do you? I'm not sure, I wanted to keep the engagement somewhat a secret. But someone is bound to leak or see my ring soon." I shrugged.

"Then just put it into sight and see if he catches up on it." Josh and I came to an agreement, smiling at each other as he went out for his interview.

They went on talking for a while, and then Jimmy called us all out. I sat next to Josh, nervously grabbing his hand and squeezing it.

"Before we start, what do you all think of Joshifer?" Jimmy asked to the others.

"It disgusts me!" Sam yelled first, pretending to gag.

"Excuse me?" I asked, and Sam burst into laughter.

"Oh my god, all they do is make out!" Liam added, nudging Jena to add something. She was laughing too hard to say anything.

"That is not true!" I said, defending myself but laughing at the same time. Meanwhile, Josh just had a look on his face that said he was going to kill both of them after this interview.

"Alright, now that we got that out of the way," Jimmy said, laughing again, "I have a game for all of you to play."

We followed him to the other floor and sat down in a straight line of chairs. "We're gonna play a game to see who's who in the set of Hunger Games." We were all handed white boards and markers, and I got my game face on. "Question one; who is the biggest prankster on set?"

We all wrote down Josh's name. "That's my title around here." Josh said, shrugging.

"One word to describe Jennifer." Jimmy said quickly, and everyone burst out laughing.

"Wild." Said Sam.

"Insane." Said Jena.

"Crazy." Said Liam.

"Amazing." Josh said, and I smiled, and everyone gagged.

I took a minute to write my word for myself down, and everyone groaned to see I wrote supercalifragilisticexpialidocous.

"Not conceded at all." Liam mumbled.

"Excuse me, what did you say?" I asked sarcastically.

"Oh nothing, Mrs. Queen Katniss Everdeen." Liam said, pretending to bow to me.

"That's what I thought." I smiled.

"Best movie that Josh has ever been in." Jimmy said, and I gasped loudly.

"Little Manhattan!" I yelled out, showing my board. "Oh, Josh you were so cute in that movie!" I teased, pinching his cheek.

"I liked him in the Journey movies." Jena said.

"No, he was cuter in Little Manhattan. Get over it Jena!" I shouted.

"Next question, best part of filming in Hawaii."

I glanced at Josh, to see he already had it written down. The other three had their boards shown, waiting for us. "Aww, you're writing that!" Jena gushed, hugging me.

We turned our boards at the same time, to show we wrote getting engaged.

"What? Engaged?!" Jimmy shouted, jumping out of his seat.

"Ya." I laughed at his surprised and shocked expression.

"This is amazing!" He shouted. "I'm so excited, congrats." He finally settled down, sitting and starting the game again.

"Next question, best on set mishap."

I giggled, knowing what to write immediately. Josh falling off the cornucopia in Catching Fire.

"When was that?" He asked, seeing my board.

"I'll just tell the story." The others glimpsed at my board and laughed, remembering that moment. "I won't say what happens in the movie, but I fall off the cornucopia. And their are these thin strips of land that Josh had to run across to get to me. As he was running, and it was so slippery, that he kept going, but fell off and into the water."

"Thanks for reminding me of that time, Jen." Josh groaned.

"No problem."

"Last question for the night, who is your on set best friend?" Jimmy asked lastly.

We all scribbled down. I knew Josh would write me, and expected me to write him, but I decided to tease him a little bit. "Of course Josh is gonna wrote Jen. And Jen is gonna write Josh. It's obvious." I held in a giggle at Sam's comment.

I turned my board, and held in more laughs. "Really Jen? The snack table is your best friend? I feel so betrayed." Josh gasped.

"Well, there you have it folks. I'm Jimmy Fallon, goodnight!" The cameras shut off, and we all retired back stage.

"Josh, hurry up. I'm tired." I groaned.

"Let's go." He dragged me out to the car and we got in, driving away.

I stared at my ring the whole time, smiling.
