Chapter 35

*six days later*

Aaron and I had gotten through making a batch of cookies, and were sitting on the couch, watching whatever tv show that was on. My parents had left a while ago to run errands, so we were left alone.

Their was a knock at the door as I went to go change my clothes, so Aaron went to answer it.

I threw on a tank top and sweat pants before wobbling down the stairs and onto the couch where Aaron was, looking pissed and happy at the same time. However that's possible.

"Who was at the door?" I asked, plopping beside him as my parents walked in the door.

"No one." He looked rather smug, but I ignored it.

"Hi mom and dad!" I yelled, and I grabbed my glass of hot chocolate.

"Oh! I love law and order!" Mom and dad sat down with me and Aaron, watching tv with us.

About a half hour later, their was another knock on the door. Aaron jumped up quickly and ran to the door, and I didn't pay any attention.

"Jenny..." Aaron said, his voice trailing off a bit. "Uh,"

I looked over my shoulder to see Josh standing awkwardly at my front door. "Oh my god," I wobbled over to the door and pushed Aaron out of the way. "How did you know I was here?"

"Well, Liam, Sam, Jena, Woody, Liz, Willow, Phillip, and Donald all texted me to stay away from you, and they all tweeted that you left. So," he trailed off too.

I quickly grabbed a sweater and a scarf before walking outside with him. We awkwardly walked beside each other in silence.

"So, how's that baby?" Josh asked quietly after a while.

"Fine, everything is fine. I'm healthy." I shrugged, but he scoffed.

"Not entirely healthy." Josh said. "You tried to kill yourself, again."

"No, I've never tried to kill myself before. Just cut myself. I went for it this time because I was so pissed off at me, and you, and everything."

"Jen, you could have talked to me. Granted, I didn't want to speak to you, but if I knew what you were going to die, I would have." Josh spat at me, I rolled my eyes.

"I don't want to talk about that anymore." We stopped walking in front of his house, sitting down on the grass.

"Jen, we both know I made a mistake. I clearly still love you, and you clearly still love me, or else you wouldn't be here right now." Josh said, and I nodded.

"You have a point." He whipped around quickly, taking my hands in his.

"So you do love me?" Josh asked, hopefully.

I had to think about this. Did I really still love him? After the many ways he had hurt me in the past?

Josh placed his hand gently on my cheek, and before I knew it, our lips were connected. It had been a month without this, and I craved it.

My eyes shut immediately, and I leaned into Josh, giving him my answer. Once we finally pulled away, I smiled. "I love you too." Josh grinned, laying down an pulling me down with him.

I laid my head on his chest, and we stared up at the stars. "God, everyone is gonna beat the crap out of both of us when we get back." I groaned.

"Why?" He wondered, his hand brushing the curve of my stomach.

"Because they kinda hate you, and they kept telling me not to get back with you." I said, almost feeling guilty.

"Eh, they'll get over it." Josh shrugged. "Oh, we're both leaving tomorrow."

"How'd you plan that? Did you just expect me to forgive you so you bought a plane ticket?" I said sarcastically.

"No, not at all. I already had a plane ticket, but just switched it to your jet." Josh said nonchalantly.

Just then, my phone rang again. "Jeez, Liam won't leave me alone. What do you want?" I yelled upon answering.

"What are you doing?" Liam asked, and I again heard the yelling in the background.

"Talking to someone." I said vaguely, reading to hang up.

"Who?" Liam asked further.

"That's none of your business-" Before I could say anything else, Josh's mom started yelling at us from the door.

"Josh, get your damn fiancé in here before she freezes to death!" Clearly Liam heard because he and everyone in the background gasped.

"Josh? You're with that son of a bitch?!" Liam screamed, and I hung up, being dragged inside by Josh.
