Chapter 11
The tears started to fall down my face. "All my children, sit down." We all smile and sit close to each other, wanting this moment to never end. "You've all given me a year of your lives and you have by far been my favorite cast I've ever directed." Already me and Willow were in tears. "Now, for the premiere. That's going to be in a month and I'm so excited." We knew his speech was coming to a close soon. "Anybody want to talk? Jen?" I was thrown under the bus. I stood up and faced the sad faces of my cast. "Before I start dying, I just really just wanted to thank everyone for making my first movie the most enjoyable it could be. And I literately can’t wait for Catching Fire!" I sat down again, holding onto Josh for support. Woody and Liz go up, then Liam, and then a sobbing Willow. Then that's it. We all do a big group hug and then go our separate ways. I sob the whole way home. Thank god it's only three months until we shoot Catching Fire!
*two days later*
I wake up with my usual headache, but nothing can get me down today. Me and Josh
We’re flying back to Kentucky! We took showers and had breakfast before packing last minute things. "Are you excited?" "Of course." I answer, not showing a full smile. I packed almost everything I own, only leaving a few things for Josh to remember me by. "Jen, are you alright?" I nod, wiping away the tear I didn't know fell. "I'm perfectly fine, can we go?" He looks at me funny, but lets it go. We head out the door and I mentally say goodbye to everything I've come to love in Los Angeles.
"Jen, wake up. We're landing soon." I rub my eyes and sit up. I look around the private jet and smile. I was happy to have some personal time with Josh, something that didn't happen often. I get up quickly and splash cold water on my face. Ahh, refreshing. I sit back down next to Josh and grab his hand. "Josh," I pause. "I just want you to know that I love you with all my heart, never forget that." He looked at me confused. "Why are you telling me something I already know?" "Just a reminder." I shrug, trying to drop it. We land and walk through the airport. I drive my my house and we arrive around 6pm. "Holy shit," Josh gasps as we get out of the car. "My house is a block away." I smile at the amazingness that we've lived so close to each other and never knew it. That is a sign. We get our bags out of the car and I knock on the door. Aaron answers. "Aaron!" I jump in his arms and start laughing as he spins me around. "I missed you!" We say at the same time, causing a laugh to escape from Josh. "Oh, Aaron, this is Josh." They shake hands just as my sister comes barreling in. "JenJen!" She hollers, jumping in my arms. "Ashley!" She jumps in my arms and we stay like that for a couple minutes. "I would put you on my back but I still technically have a concussion so, no." She nods and I put her down. "Ashley, this is Josh. Where's the rest of the family?" He smiles at me, pulling us all into the living room to find my mom, dad, grandma and grandpa all watching a movie. They pay no attention. "Wow, I guess my family doesn't care about me." I look to Josh, pretending to be hurt. They all jump up and start squeezing the shit out of me. After they settle down and sit again they just stare at me. "What?" I question, pulling Josh to sit with me on the couch. "Oh!" I pretend to hit myself in the head with my hand. "Duh, I'm stupid. This is Josh." "That's my intro?" I clear my throat, sitting up straighter. "I'm sorry. This is Joshua Ryan Hutcherson. Happy?" "Very,"
