IMPERFECTIONS
People always taught us
Guys only make fun of girls
They really like
And we believed it was right.
We grew up a bit more
Although guys never did
And the obssesion being called pretty
Started settling in our skin
With the media telling us
How we should look like
And that we were never enough
We started calling eachother sluts,
Wanting to fill the emptiness inside our hearts.
Guys never made the situation easier
They loved jumping in beds with skinier,
Saying »Oh, we're just having fun,«
Ignoring the no's and continuing on.
Some were terrified,
They never told no soul
But the ones who had the guts
Were told they're on their own.
So tell me, how is this world fair?
When no one seems to believe or care?
We've got so much potential
But we're wasting lives away, scared of rejection
Always striving for perfection.
