LOVE LETTER
Please point your gun at me
If it helps you relax
I know I'm only seventeen
But you see me just as tax.
My life hasn't yet begun
Yours has been going on for a while
Aren't you supposed to know better?
And not let your gun write me a love letter?
The other day, I was waking up
Worried about my math exam
But today feels a lot like a scam
And kids my age feel like unprotected lambs.
It might not be our favorite place
Yet at least it was still safe
And we knew
We would make it home that day.
Weren't you supposed to protect us?
And trust me, I know you don't want this discussed
But you were supposed to be saving lives
Not making us wonder who survives.
I hope you can sleep at night
Knowing your taking our hearts
Because you might only see blind
Tonight.
