STRIPPED DOWN
Do you know who you are?
When you've stripped down your clothes
Threw away your skin and broke your bones
When all you have left is your soul
Do you know who you are?
Do you know why you cry all the time?
Or why can't you shed a single tear
Or why is the world you fear
Do you know who you are inside?
Do you know when do you need someone
To hold you, to love you
When do you need someone to make you laugh
So much you forget how to take a breath
Do you know yourself?
Do you know what kind of medicine you take
To drown the pain and wash it away
What kind of demons are you running from
Do you know if they are just inside your head?
Or beside you in your bed?
Do you know who you are?
Do you know your soul inside and out?
Do you know your heart is all you've got?
At the end of the day
Do we really know who we are?
