MOURING MONSTER
He asked really quietly
»Do you have any blood on your hands?«
And as she looked away
She thought of all the nights she couldn't stand.
All the nights filled with screams
That no one heard
All the nights filled with scars
That everyone ignored.
The hate on her body
Took its tool on her mind
It caused her hands to drop
From the fight for her life.
She remembered killing
The innocence she used to have.
Looking up, into his eyes
She realized he knew her lie.
So instead of putting her mask back on
where she thought it truly belonged,
she opened up her heart
hoping the pain won't last.
»Yeah, I have killed the human in me,«
She whispered, lowering her head,
Wishing she could go back to her younger self
And save her from the monster
She would slowly became.
