THIS SIDE OF MY SKIN
Let's start from the bottom,
From within and work our way out
Because you seei want you to know me
- my soul, my heart and my mind -
before taking a step back and realizing
that I'm not the one you want to have in your life.
Don't judge me for my cold stares
And don't you dare tell me that I don't care
If you've never had the patience
To listen to everything I have to say.
I might be rough round the edges
Not letting you in so easily
But thats only because I don't want to end up hurt
By people who have no intention of return.
Don't tell me you like me
That I'm fun and beautiful
You've never seen the dark side
The walking catastrophe
And the one that's changing constantly.
If you've never seen my tears
Or heard my rage
Never saw me cry from the most beautiful lethal page
Don't judge me for not acting my age.
I might not care about boys
Or give a damn about sex,
This generation is moving too fast
Without thinking twice about anything else.
I overthink constantly and if you're my friend
You know I'm always there
I overlove too
But only because I want to see the change in this world
And get people out of the place we love to call blue.
