"you didn't dress like hobo today!" you giggled at your boyfriend's silly appearance. kageyama was wearing a rather fancy outfit for once. it was simple, dark suit, dark dress pants, matching colored shoes and a white button up underneath. you wore your favorite dress in
(favorite color).

kageyama wiggled uncomfortably in his tight suit and huffed, "this is so unnecessary," he grumbled, rolling his eyes at you.

"we're going to a fancy restaurant, we have to dress decently." you chuckled, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. your eyes drifted to your boyfriend's loose tie and sighed, helping him fix it. "you're hopeless," you joked, looking at kageyama.

"im not as hopeless as hinata," kageyama retorted, rolling his eyes. you pouted and lightly pulled on his tie to tighten it, "it's our night out, let's make it about us and us only okay?" a blush splattered itself onto the pale boy's face as he grumbled something under his breathe but nodded regardless.

the two of you arrived at the destination, a rather fancy japanese restaurant. it was definitely out of your guys' budget but considering he had just won a volleyball tournament last week, you thought he deserved  some special treatment.

you walked in with arms linked, (albeit kageyama being quite stiff and uncomfortable) you made your to the table with the host guiding you two. "here you go, reserved just for you two." the host smiled, bowing her head. "if you need anything else, let me know! my name is miyu and i will be tonight's host."

you thanked her and she gave you a comforting smile before returning to her position at the front door.

you turned your attention back onto your boyfriend who was -glaring- at his menu. you chuckled softly and looked at your own copy of the menu and scanned the options.

"oooh! look tobio! they have a shrimp scampi!" you said excitedly, looking through the options you were presented. kageyama, however, looked much less excited as he squinted and frowned at the menu. you noticed your boyfriend's rather quite demeanor and questioned him, "what's the matter love?"

kageyama bursted into instant red, his face growing more crimson by the second. he attempted to hide his face by covering it with the menu but you noticed anyway.

"i-i uh," kageyama stuttered, blushing out of sheer embarrassment. you raised an eyebrow at him who was a stuttering, red mess.

"i can't read these characters!" he shouted, finally explaining his dilemma to you. you almost laughed on the spot, poor guy.

"awh tobio-chan needs help? i can read it to you if youd like," you chuckled at your embarrassed boyfriend who rolled his eyes and angrily pouted at you.

you smirked at him teasingly, "do you want my help or not?" kageyama lowered his head, trying to hide his ever-growing blush, "could you r-read it to me...?"

of course you wouldn't deny your adorable boyfriend and you read him each and every option on the menu, with an explanation if he was confused by anything. poor guy just wasn't used to such luxury.

"doesn't blueberry clobber sound good?" you chirped, looking at the picture that displayed the food and you sighed dreamily. kageyama frowned and stared intently at his menu, "yeah sure..."

"what's the matter tobio?" you asked, looking at him. he sighed and slightly adjusted his tie, loosening it a bit. "it's just, this seems really unconventional..."

"this fancy night out?" you questioned and he confirmed it, nodding. kageyama preferred for you two to be home, alone, perhaps watching a movie or two, just bonding without the interference of the world.

"i don't get to spend time with you alone very often... so i was hoping for something less, extravagant?" kageyama mumbled into his hand, looking down. "i just want you for myself."

he knows how much of a hopeless romantic you are and how you longed to go out on some wonderful dinner, with candles and rose petals and all that jazz. but the poor guy could barely take you holding his hand in public let alone sit like this across from you, eating in a public place.

his eyes trailed to yours, hoping that you were upset but you were smiling- no, smirking at him. "awh~ tobio! i didn't know you're type of guy..." you laughed teasingly at him.

kageyama huffed, his face now a beet red. "shut up... i just wanted to spend some alone time with my girlfriend- what's so wrong about that?"

you giggled and gently laid your hand over his on the table, running your fingers over his. "how about this," you hummed, smiling at him.

you slowly leaned across the table, your lips right against his ear. kageyama shuddered at the feeling of your breathe down his neck, he gulped, waiting for you to speak.

your lips ghosted his ear, gently moving around it before finally saying,

"let's take this back to my place after dinner?"
