asahi is not one to boast things. he had steady grades, great looks, tall, an incredible personality, the ace of the karasuno volleyball team, but even with all that, he wasn't the type to boast about what he had.

he also kept the fact that he has a girlfriend a secret for the past three months.

the two of you started dating around three months ago, a stable, happy relationship. you weren't really the type to boast either so you decided to keep it a secret from others. it wasn't like you were, afraid of people finding out but rather it was your very anxious boyfriend that was worried. poor asahi was always quite concerned with appearances and he didn't want people to associate you and him as delinquents since he had that vibe going.

it was hard though, to keep it a secret. ever since you became a manager for the karasuno volleyball team, his nervous glances and uneasy looks was even more apparent and obvious.

"(y/n)-san!"

you snapped out of your train of thoughts as nishinoya's loud cries interrupted your thinking. you looked up to see nishinoya and tanaka approaching you, the two second years waving and smiling at you. you flashed a small smile and waved back at them as they made their way to you.

"(y/n)-san! tanaka and i thought it would be a great idea if the three of us went to see that new movie coming out!" nishinoya said cheerfully, a bright smile on his lips. tanaka chuckled and nodded, "what'cha think (y/n)-san? do you wanna come see that movie with us?"

a small dusting of pink appeared across your face as you coughed lightly, "h-huh? you want me to come with you guys to see that new movie...?"

tanaka and nishinoya nodded violently, their eyes glimmered and shined with excitement. they leaned in to hear your response as you held your hand back, leaning backwards in slight embarrassment. "u-uhm..." you stuttered, looking beyond them for help before a tall figure appeared behind them, a shadow covered them.

"nishinoya? tanaka? what are you doing
to (y/n)?"

asahi's baritone voice rang out above nishinoya and tanaka. the two second years scrambled to stand up, an embarrassed look on their faces. "n-nothing!" they both said, their bodies stiffened as a nervous smile laced your lips.

asahi raised an eyebrow at the two. his eyes glanced over at you and a sigh escaped his lips as he stood up and turned around, rubbing his neck sheepishly. "don't overwhelm her okay?" asahi said, walking back to daichi and suga who was eyeing nishinoya and tanaka.

you bit your bottom lip before softly saying, "sorry 'noya, tanaka... i won't be able to go see that movie with you."

nishinoya turned around with a perplexed face and a pout, saying, "awh why not?"

crimson decorated across your face. you suddenly gained immense interest in your hair as you twirled it in your finger. "well, uh... im actually, uhm..."

tanaka and nishinoya leaned in, eager to hear your reason. you rubbed your temple and sighed, "im, um... dating someone... and don't think it's appropriate for me to go on this 'date' with you guys..."

tanaka's eyes widened as he loudly blurred out, "WAIT?! (Y/N)-SAN?!?! YOURE DATING SOMEONE ?!" you jumped up and covered tanaka's mouth but the damage has been done.

"(Y/N)-SAN?!!!! YOURE DATING SOMEBODY?!" hinata's loud voice echoed the gym as he sprinted towards you in shock. kageyama who followed behind him smacked hinata upside the head and glared at him, "shut up hinata, you're so loud!"

the karasuno team gathered around you, shocked to hear this news.

"i didn't know (y/n)-san was dating someone! did you tsukki?" yamaguchi asked the tall blonde who simply scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"(y/n)? dating someone?" daichi said in awe, staring at suga and then at you. suga, who was seemingly in tears hugged you as he loudly exclaimed, "you're growing up! my sweet (y/n)!"

everyone seemed so shocked, happy and excited for you which caused you to flush red and look down in shyness before you felt two strong arms wrap around your body.

"hey."

you looked up and your eyes met familiar brown orbs. you wrapped your arms around his waist and nuzzled into his chest. "hey..." you mumbled into asahi's chest before everyone let out loud gasps and exclaims of shock.

"ASAHI AND (Y/N)-SAN ARE DATING?!"

"HOW DID WE NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS??"

"A-ASAHI? (Y/N)?? DATING?!"

the two of you let out a shy smile before looking at one another. asahi leaned down and gently pressed a kiss against your forehead before gently pressing his forehead against yours. "sorry it had to be like this..." asahi gently apologize before you mumbled back, "it's fine. i love you."

asahi smiled sheepishly and pressed another kiss to your cheek. "i love you too..."
