Last Glimpse

Looking at you from
a mere distance was enough.
And it was my own heartbeat
who told me to be in delight.

The way you project
a smile can melt a stash
of flowers in various kind.

You have the height
of a perfectly gentle king
and the braveness of a soldier
who will fight for its queen.

Your looks and staring eyes
put me under the spell
of your echanting charm.

And all this time,
I was lurking behind
your sight and steal
countless looks from mine.

As day marches into
weeks; I'll be doing the
same thing—lurk to stare.

Wishing and hoping
that these days won't
end 'cause this is my
last melancholic glimpse.
