Abandoned Ship

I used to be alone
in my ship, not until
I met you along the bay.

From there I took your
hands and sailed with me
in the ocean—that time
you've become my compass,
guiding me to which direction
we could find a calmer sea.

But it will not always be
the case, the waters will
not be always in serenity
for the gods have made the
waters to create stormy seas.

That day, the waves toppled
our trembling ship, lost its
balance and slowly swallowed
by the sea—I've tried to save
our sinking ship, but it feels like
I'm the only one trying to save it.

I could feel how heavy and
suffocating it was, but just
like a bird with a broken wing
it's hard for it to flap its wings
and fly—I may have done some
lapses but I hope you'd find your
happiness in someone's ship.
