I thought we'd walk
along the sand, write
our names on it and
leave footprints behind.I thought we'd hold
our hands so tight,
sit under the tree and
watch the stars at night.I thought we'd watch
the sea, its unwinding
stench and join as the
sun sets for the day.I though we'd lean on
each other's back, face
tomorrow's breadth, and
create our future ahead.I thought we'd end
up putting rings, live
together happily but fate
took you away from me.
