Personally:
Carter is a British jerk who's father is a wealthy businessman (like Felix and Ted's father) who owns a car brand  ( Forstain) . Since he's an only child he grew up to be quite selfish and unwilling to share with anyone. He will call anyone he demands below him " peasant" and will take almost any opportunity to show off his wealth. He was a revival of Felix and loves calling AppleSoft...AppleSnot just to bug him along with pulling on his tie to choke him. Although he hates Felix he doesn't mind Ted , but he will make fun of his intelligence from time to time. He will call Felix by his name ,but it's usually used to clarify or he really needs his help. Deep down however he can be very insure about himself and lashes out at anyone who brings out that part of him.
He is a total player and doesn't care for marriage or commitment.

His parents relationship with Carter :
They are very emotionally neglectful and verbally abusive they are never physical unless Carter is crying then they will slap him. Half the time they don't even call him by his name only mistake. The other half of the time they're not even home basically leaving Carter fend for himself. His mother is a unique exception to this as she will show affection to her son, but only in public as she doesn't want to appear as a bad mother.
