Though the sunrise has come
And the past is done
I will rest in Thee
And accept Your peace
Though the future has not come
And I do not know my fate
Thy will, O Lord, be done
On Thee, will I wait
Help this son to live
In the Present, where You have put him
Save me from weakness' shame
May I put my trust in Your Name
Promises make up Your Name
Help me to ever seek You
None who seek Your face will be put to shame
Sanctify me by Your Truth
Humility and patience on me, employ
May I relinquish my hand on this door
For in Your presence is fullness of joy
And at Your right hand are pleasures, forevermore
The Present is where You have put me
Help me to walk by faith; not by what I see
Instead of to this door
May I hold to Your Word
And on Your faithful timing and assurance, to believe
Help me to understand, I pray
That in You I will surely find delight
Your Promises are a lamp to my way
And to my weary feet, a light
Surely I am faint and have grown weary
In years of growth, I have toiled and striven
I would have lost heart
Unless I had believed
I would see Your goodness in the land of the living
Help me to wait on You
That my strength may be renewed
You are a shield to those who trust in You
Lord, You have never forsaken those who seek You
You are near to those who call upon You
To those who call upon You with truth's voice
If I would trust in You, I would be helped
And my heart would greatly rejoice
Hear the voice of my supplications
When I cry and lift my hands to You
Bear me up forever
And lead me in Your Truth
Amen
