(Sorry for this part being short-)
A Legendary Pokémon hovered still over a hill, looking out upon a silent town. The moon was full and bright, and there wasn't a sound to be heard. A small breeze drifted through the area as pawsteps broke the silence; the Legendary didn't bother to turn towards it. A black and green Espeon padded next to the special Pokémon; it looked like a Joltik compared to the massive Ghost-type.
"Well?" the Ghost-type asked, expecting an answer right away.
Espeon sighed. "He's coming," it replied. "I battled him when he least expected it, and I happened to poison him with my Toxic. I've led him towards your direction; it won't be long before he faints. From where we are, he's behind us."
"Good. Anything else?"
"Well, Sanda spotted him walking around. There's no doubt she's going to tell others."
"Oh, yes, I saw her too," the purple Pokémon spoke. It never made eye contact to the Espeon, and its movements never seemed to acknowledge its presence, only its words did. "She ran into Sylvey's den first, but I don't recall if she left yet."
The unusual Psychic-type said, "Doesn't matter where she went. What matters now is that we've got him right where we need him to be--but I don't understand why you chose him. He seems so...naive and unexperienced. It doesn't look like he could handle such a life-risking task."
The Ghost Legendary lowered its head with a small smile. "Kohtalo, you don't understand. From my visions, I know he'll grow stronger. He may seem weak at first, but his power will increase to unbelievable levels.
"He'll learn many things from the upcoming conflict; don't worry about a thing. It might not look like it now, but trust me, he'll be the one who saves the world."
Kohtalo sighed again with a slight nod. "If you say so. I'll go back and keep an eye on Sapphire if you're done talking."
"Go ahead," At the Psychic-type's word, Kohtalo quietly turned around, beginning to head back down the hill and into the darkness of the forest behind him. "Remember, I don't have much time left, but don't panic. Just keep doing what I told you to do, and all will work as planned."
"Yes. I understand," Kohtalo then halted and looked over his shoulder at the Legendary. "...You don't really know what's going to happen once you leave, do you?"
The Ghost-type sighed, frowning. "I'm afraid so, but I'll be around to help out once in a while."
"So you're just going to leave the fate of the world in this Shiny's hands?"
"Not just his," it replied. "Remember who you are currently guiding; they'll be of help too. And don't forget, I've seen snippets of the future from the Pool of Time. It might be vague, but I do have an idea of how all this will play out."
Kohtalo gazed at the ground. "Fine, but if he loses, don't say I didn't warn you." He took one last look at the giant Pokémon, then finally bounded down the hill until his footsteps faded into the silence.
