Chop Chop (A #Merome Story)

Summer

[Mitch's PoV]

Final exams for the year were done. The temperature was already warmer and pools plus the beach was already open. Jerome, Preston, Rob, and I were planning to go to the beach today. I had already gotten dressed in my swim trunks and had a cool summer t-shirt on as well as my hater blockers as Jerome likes to call sunglasses. 

"Alright biggums. We all ready to go?" He asked.

"I think so. Lezzgo!" I said and ran out the door. We both had our own bags of sunscreen, towels and extra clothes. We got there and I noticed the familiar blue car of Rob so I knew that they were here. We went down to the beach where my jaw dropped. It was so beautiful and different to what I was used to to back at my house. We only had a community pool back where I lived but this is beautiful since theweather is nice and warm, it spread out for miles and I was here with my friends.

"Hey Mitch! Jerome!" I heard Rob's all too familiar voice shout. I turned my head to see him and Preston running towards us. Once they got to us, they hugged us and we all went to where they had already set up their area. After taking off my shirt, we all went into the water and just messed around with each other saying things about sharks. After we were done with the water, we got out and decided to relax on the sand.

We ended up building sand castle as well and it wasn't anything big but it was nice. Especially for my first sand castle. I took some pictures of this time and posted them all on Facebook while still at the beach. We spent the whole day there and it was definately a really good memory especially for my first time at a beach.

"Well, that was fun." I said as we packed up.

"Yep. Who's up for dinner at my house?" Preston asked. Everyone nodded and said yes and soon enough, we were following Rob's car to Preston's house which wasn't that far away. ONce we got there, we both parked in the driveway and Preston told us some things.

"Alright. So, my parents are very loving and supportive and they've actualy been wanting to meet Mitch all school year but of course, we never got the chance so yeah. They also don't mind us being together and stuff but they do know Jerome because of Parent Teacher night so there may be some explaining to be done but for the most part, they should be ok. We also just recently filled up our pool and hot tub in our backyard." Preston said.

"You have a pool?" I asked. Preston nodded while smiling and walked into his house with Rob, then me, then Jerome.

"Preston! You're home!" Someone shouted. Their voice was squeeky and loud. A little boy came running towards the front door and hugged Preston, jumping into his arm.

"Woah. Hang on there little guy. Jeez." Preston said but he just giggled. I laughed too as he hung onto him like he was monkey bars.

"Preston? Rob? Is that you?" A feminine voice asked.

"Yeah it's me. Can you take these two for me?" He asked as we walked into what seemed like the kitchen that had a very nice looking lady.

"Oh, hello. You brought guests." She said.

"Yeah. Mom, this is Mitch and Jerome." He said and introduced us.

"Hello." I said and held out my hand to shake it but she just gave me a hug. "Ok."

"Sorry. Any friend of Preston's is like a son or daughter to me. That's how I feel about all my kids. Oh, hello Mr.Aceti." She said I looked behind me at Jerome to see him wide eyed and kinda blushing but also slightly pale.

"Hello Mrs.Arsement." He said.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Well, I was with Mitch at the beach and we all met up there. Preston suggested we came back here so yeah." He said.
