Chop Chop (A #Merome Story)

School Again

[Mitch's PoV]

Summer went by in a flash. I got my reports done within the first few weeks so that meant a lot of time to spend with Jerome and recording videos without any worry. I was able to gain over twice the amount of subscribers I had before which I used to have 25,000 but not I have close to 60,000 but Jerome also gained quite a bit more and he's so close to 100,000 subscribers. He says that once he gets to 100,000 subscribers, he'll be able to quit his job as a teacher and work full time on Youtube. I told him no though because I think being a teacher is great and if you quit for that then well you basically just wasted your time. You need to stay there for at least 5 years in my opinion and this will be his 3rd year there. Maybe one he's alright, then he can quit and we can start a life fully together.

We had an assembly right after school that day. Preston and Rob are both in my lunch period, Chop class, English class, Gym class and Tech class. We also have one full free period but I have Guitar and Preston and Rob have another free period together at that time so it all works out alright. But I have Guitar solo as well as Parenting by myself. I wanted to try something different and it's only one semester so I took it. Next semester I took a Study Hall time at that time. Since our free period is the period right before we have Chop class and Jerome is available for that time, we can all hang and chill out together.

My schedule goes like this:
1st: Guitar
2nd: Consumer Ed.
3rd: Gym
4th: Lunch
5th: Free Period
6th: Chop Class
7th: Tech 2
8th: Parenting

After my last class, I met up with Rob and Preston and we all went to the assembly and took a seat near the front row. The whole auditorium was full of Seniors that was from our class. Everyone was just like us. After waiting a good 15 minutes, the principal stood up and began to speak.

"Good afternoon everyone. Well, when I look amoungst this audience and all of you, it makes me want to shed a tear. Seeing you all walk in as freshman on your first day of school and then seeing you walk in as seniors only 4 years later, it really touches my heart. All of your teachers and I are very proud of you and you should be proud of you too. So I want you all to give yourselves a round of applause for making it this far. Now, you need to be thinking of your future and what will happen when you leave here. Where are you going to go? What are you going to do? I want about 5 student volunteers who know what they are going to do to come up here and tell the class what your planning to do." He said. I raised my hand not so high but high enough so he can see. Most of the teachers were all around the auditorium or on stage. Jerome was one who was on stage. He called on 4 students and scanned the audience and his eyes landed on me and told me to come up. I did and stood behind the other 4.

They all talked about what college they were planning to go to or other things they were going to do. But one shocked me. It was a girl and her name was Alexia. What she said really surprised everyone including me. She was right in front of me.

"Hello everyone. Well, you know me as Alexia and what I'm planning to do is, well, to become a mother because I am pregnant. Yes, I am pregnant and about 3 months along. I am planning to give birth in February and be back in May and in time for Finals and graduation. The father who I will leave un-named is going to college at Jersey Central University where he will be studying business and consumer science." She said. Everyone clapped and she even earned a standing ovation. She sat back down and then it was my turn.

"Hello everyone. You know me as Mitch aka, the older kid who transferred from Canada last year and had his dad kill all his family members and left him in the hands of Mr.Aceti. Yeah, that's me. I have a question. How many of you know of a youtuber by the name of BajanCanadian?" I asked. About half the hands in the audience went up and I smiled. "Well, I have something to say. This whole time, for the past year now, I've kept this secret. This secret is that I am the famous BajanCanadian. You've never known but yes, I am him. I make Minecraft videos with Hacksource and SkyDoesMinecraft. They are both awesome guys and after high school, I will continue making Youtube videos, earning money, and helping to pay rent in my apartment with Mr.Aceti. And maybe, find someone special soon and start a whole new life." I said, hinting at what I wanted Jerome and I to do. 

"I love you Bajan!" Someone shouted from the audience. I laughed as a small chant started from the back of the auditorium and worked its way up towards everyone where everyone was chanting "Bajan, Bajan, Bajan, Bajan, Bajan."

I smiled as people were saying my name. I felt tears sting at my eyes and walked off the stage. Once the rest of the assembly was done, I met Jerome outside where he drove me home.

"That was very brave of you to do that Mitch. I'm proud." Jerome said and kissed me.

"Yeah thanks. Let's just hope that I don't get mobbed by fangirls tomorrow asking for my autograph and making me late to class. I won't be able to take any picture because I wanna wait until I at least graduate until I show my lovely face." I said.

"Agreed. You got work to do and so do I. Let's go and do it while we can." He said. Today was successful so let's just hope everything won't be too bad tomorrow. Little did I know, everything is said easier than done.
