Chapter 5

Garou's POV

I woke up with Y/n and her bear still in my arms. She managed to get closer to me, her face was buried in my chest. I don't think I've ever felt like this before. As I was about to fall back asleep, I saw a faint flash through my eyelids. I'm not sure who it is or how they got in here but it sure was annoying. I craned my neck so I could see what the hell was going on. I saw some damn egg head. How did he... how does he know her? He doesn't even realize I'm the hero hunter. He's probably not even a hero.

"This is perfect! Y/n's probably gonna kill me for this but this is so worth it! I'm gonna send her the pictures." He laughed and smiled at his phone.

"Hey egg head, the hell're you doing?"

"I was about to ask Y/n if she wanted to go to the store but she wasn't awake so I went looking for her." He didn't even look up from his phone.

"Well you found her and she's busy so get lost."

"Alright. Tell her I said hi."

"Whatever." I huffed out as the baldy left. It was kinda late and Y/n has to work later so I poked her cheek to wake her up. She started frowning and buried her face in the pillow. I started poking her more and in a few other places to see her reaction.

"Stoooop." She groaned, eyes still closed.

"Then wake up."

"I don't wannaaa." She whined as she turned over.

"C'mon lazy. You gotta go to work today." I reminded her as I continued to poke her but this time in her back.

"Fuuck. You're right. I gotta go get dressed." She said as she attempted to get up. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her back into the bed.

"Garou let me take a shower. I gotta go."

"Only if you can get out of my grip."

"Please. I don't have time for this. And you need to take a shower too, you kinda stink. There's clothes in the drawers in the room to the right. Now go." She giggled

"Fine. I'll get you next time though."

After the two of us took our showers and got ready for the day, we went on our way to our separate destinations. Today though, I made sure to walk with her so Metal Bat would leave her alone. Our walk was pretty nice. We were enjoying ourselves until some scam artist came up to us talking about whatever he could think of based on what he saw.

"You two are such a beautiful couple. Have you been tried marriage counseling? You know, just to strengthen the relationship. Are you a martial artist sir? We have a wide selection of uniforms for you. We have weapons too. Do you like anime? We have a bunch of..." I stopped listening, he was just naming a bunch of stuff he thought interested me. I started caring when he started talking to Y/n.

"Ma'am have you ever thought about weight loss? Need to go to a gym but don't have a membership? Can't fit some of your favorite outfits anymore?..." I looked down at Y/n to see how she was doing and she cringed at his words, she seemed kinda sad. Fed up with this guy's disrespectful ass questions, I glared at him and sent him running and pulled Y/n along.

"Thanks."

"Anytime." She smiled up at me, still kinda sad, it was in her eyes. I put my hand on her head and gave her a small smile.

"Forget about what that guy said. He's just an idiot who can't do his job right. You mind if I walk with you all the to the restaurant?" I shoved my hand into my pocket

"I uh- no I don't mind at all. Let's go before I'm late." 'Cute'. I smirked and we continued our walk.

Once we got to the restaurant, I said goodbye and went out on my daily hero hunt. While walking around I kept thinking about Y/n. I felt bad for her because of what she hears on a daily basis about her size. She's so beautiful and you can see the hurt in her eyes and I hate it. I can't kill anyone who insults her because she'll be angry but scaring will have to do for now.
