Garou's POV

The kid gave me his book and I looked through a crack in the sheds wall to see the heroes out front. Once I got a good glimpse of them, I skimmed through the hero book and looked at their info. Usually, fighting them wouldn't be a problem but with the amount of injuries I had this was going to be a challenge. It was silent until a voice rang out. None of us paid attention to what was said, just the fact that there was someone out there scared the boy.

"Mister. There's someone out there!"

"Don't talk." I told him

I'm out of time...

I handed the boy his book and looked at the door. Y/n walked up to the both of us.

"Turd, get down on the floor."

"Garou... please at least try to be safe and think things through." She whispered, clinging to my arm. I nodded at her with a smile and she let me go. I stepped out of the shack and closed the door, looking at the heroes.

"Do me a favor and don't shoot up the shack." I requested, thinking about the love of my life and the kid who were taking shelter in there.

Y/n's POV

"... Hi. I'm Y/n." I tried to make conversation with the boy so that he wouldn't pay attention to inevitably brutal fight between Garou and the heroes.

"H-hi. I'm Tareo.(yes that's his actual name)" He said shyly

"What's that book you got there, Tareo?" I pointed to the boom he had in his hand.

"It's my hero almanac. Wanna look at it?"

"Sure. How about you tell me who your favorite heroes are?" I smiled. He sat next to me talked about his favorite heroes for a few minutes. Our conversation was interrupted by a loud bang on the roof of the shack followed by the sound of arrows. Both curios and worried, we rushed to the front of the shack and peaked through the cracks to see what was going on. Garou was fighting and dodging all of the heroes attacks. He swiftly avoided an arrow rain attack but I was still scared for him. Though I couldn't help but acknowledge how smooth he moved during the fight. A few minutes later, after a small confrontation with the heroes, it seemed like they had him in a corner.

"Garou..." I whispered to myself. Hopeful that he'd be able to get out of it. Which he did, he turned the tables in just a few seconds, throwing the heroes off their game. He had already taken down half the heroes. It was so incredible to watch, but for some reason I wasn't as afraid of him as I should be since I know more about his potential. As Garou maneuvered around the area, Death Gatling began firing at him, pouring more fear into my heart. He ran next to the man with the ugly green jumpsuit on and Death Gatling stopped shooting at him. The two men then began fighting. Well, Garou was throwing quick punches left and right and the other guy was just blocking them. The guy made a mistake and let his guard down causing him to be hit in the face. Right after the blow, stinger dashed at Garou prepared to attack but Garou was too fast and punched stinger once in the face, then multiple times in the stomach. He seemed almost at his limit. Death Gatling then took it upon himself to use his death shower move and fired all his bullets at Garou. Afraid of me or Tareo getting caught in the crossfire, I pulled him into my chest and shielded him with my body as we hid behind the sturdiest piece of metal. When the gunfire ended and we realized we were still alive, we both took a look at our surroundings. The side walls of the shack that were protecting us had been destroyed. They were reduced to a quarter of their original size. Fortunately, the front of the shack still held up. I was too in awe to realize that Garou had knocked out Death Gatling with one punch. The kid whimpered a little bit and struggled to get out of my arms but he managed to get loose no matter how many times I told him not to approach Garou.

"O-old dude..." he whispered and looked at the fallen heroes. He began to recoil in fear and ran away crying as Garou reached out to him. Garou seemed a little distraught at first but he used his outstretched hand to pull out the arrows in his shoulder and panted hard. With a sudden wave of courage washing over me, I decided to step out of the almost completely destroyed shack and run up to Garou.

I was standing right in front of him in a matter of seconds. My glossy orbs looked at his almost expressionless ones.

"You made it. You damn idiot you acted made it. I'm so glad... I'm proud of you for thinking things through." I let out a relieved giggle and he smirked at me.

"So you aren't scared of the 'big bad hero hunter'? Not even a little bit?" He joked

"No, but he will be afraid of me when I get my hands on his arrogant ass." Garou chuckled and looked at me with a small smile. Out of nowhere, a large gust of wind hit us and we both looked in the direction it came from to see a battle ready Genos. Garou's eyes widened and he quickly moved away from me and got into a heated fight with Genos. Garou used one of his stronger moves to knock the cyborg into the ground. Genos was on the ground for a few seconds but he shot back up in an instant. Fear and anxiety once again took over my heart as a tired and injured Garou took off his bandages and got into a strange, dog like stance.
